“Flemings - Steak - Upscale”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 November 2013

In the dual quest for a good steak and my wife's birthday, we visited Flemings in Tucson. Overall it is a good experience for a good steak in white tablecloth restaurant.

Pro:
- There was excellent service from everyone.
- The menu was excellent.
- Food was well prepared and presented.
- On-line reservation
- Tablet for wine pairing, though the navigation takes time to understand.

Con
- Limited parking
- Noisy which limits conservation.
- Had to wait 10-15 minutes even though we had reservations
Caveat: Our dining was at 630 pm on a Friday night with two major events in town: a bicycle road race and a college football game. These two items may have swamped them to slowed their service, increase the noise level, and crowded their parkining lot which they share with other businesses.

Sadly, we did not give them the best rating since they are expensive and still not as good as our favorite: "The Edge of Texas" in El Paso, TX.

“Overated”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

The crab soop is terrible, so spicy that tastes like pepper. The steak is average. The waitress try to push additional beverage, as starting your meal with wine and including deserts. Sounds like marketing personnel. The price is high for what it offers.

“After the opera”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

After several hours of Wagner, enjoyed thoroly by my wife, tolorated by me, we found Fleming's where the old Terra Cota used to be. We were in time for happy hour which suited me just fine. The drinks were reasonably priced and the quality was a cut above many other happy hour spots. The burger was well prepared, tasty and the the beef was great. Service was upbeat and attentive.

“Nailed it again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

There is not one time I have been in this restaurant that I don't like. The food is always delicious. I like to have different things to try not only what the menu has to offer but also the specials. Also, I think that it is good that the prime rib is not served everyday. It makes more special.
The only downside is that it is usually really crowded and it sounds like a school cafeteria. Also, it is not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for!

“A Cut Above”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

We don't frequent steakhouses very often so we might not be the best judge of this type of restaurant yet I would still say, by any measure, the service at Fleming's was two clicks above average. My wife and I shared the smaller ribeye boneless steak and the wedge salad, and we were glad we shared--there was plenty for both of us (our friend who ordered a full serving ended up taking half of the steak home). Both of these items were very good; the steak was cooked at exactly a medium rare, the salad was delicious. But what was even more delicious was the cream spinach side. With a fabulous wine selected by our expert friend, all in all a great dining experience.
