We were in Tucson on business and needed a place to eat dinner before driving to Phoenix for additional meetings the following day. OPG was recommended by a Tucson associate. It is a large restaurant with different dining areas or settings. It was cool when we visited so were glad to be seated near the fireplace which offered a warm and cozy dining experience. The food and service were good. There were lots of people in the restaurant but because of the different areas, it was not noisy and provided a relaxed atmosphere for dining and unwinding.

“a cold night at the grill”
Reviewed 19 December 2008

Six of us went to the Grill on 12/18/08. It was freezing in the lounge. Everyone was wearing their coats. We asked the first waitress if anything could be done and she had the air conditioning turned off. About an hour later, it came back on and we were back to wearing out coats. We asked our new waitress, Frankie, if they could turn the air back off. She said it was "just people coming in and out the door" and there was nothing she could do about it. No one had been in/out the door, as no one was sitting on the patio.

This new waitress was determined to cut her tip to nothing. She was most unattentive - never smiled - never made eye contact - never checked in to see if we wanted anything....dropped the check onto the table without a word.....

We have always loved going to the Grill, but this was a very unpleasant experience. We left, went next door to the new World Sports Grill (where drinks were CHEEPER), and had a lovely time.

Not sure what happened to the great wait staff that used to be at the Grill, but we won't be going back.

“Happy Father's day... for real”
Reviewed 18 June 2008

We went to OPG for Father's day and what a treat it was. The rattlesnake eggs, jalepenos wrapped in bacon, were great. The soup was delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection... they know what medium means...

My wife had the roasted chicken and raved about it. We spent time walking the grounds of the restaurant afterwards and taking pictures.

The OPG is definitely on our favorites list...
