We had a perfect six night stay here. Donna was efficient and welcoming in making the booking and checking us in. The casitas are comfortable and well-equipped. The facilities on site provide all that one would need. Good restaurants, cafes and supermarket a walk away. I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else in Tucson.

My husband and I stayed at Riverside Suites for a week of vacation. It was an enjoyable experience and if we return to Tucson, I hope we can stay there again.

Our booking was for a one bedroom apartment. We got two bedrooms, which was a bit wasted on us, but I suppose the living room and the patio also was a bit larger than for a one bedroom.

The apartment was clean and fresh, with extra towels and all the basics provided. As this is an extended stay place, there was no cleaning for us since we only were there for a week.

We particularly enjoyed the private patio, perfect for relaxing with a glass of cool chardonnay in the late afternoon. Shaded by a large mesquite tree and with a small herb garden - what a nice touch! It was surprisingly quiet, sheltered from any traffic noise and only rarely did we see other guests. I think most of the people who stay at Riverside Suites are there for business, so there was no partying or any kind of noisy activities going on. We slept well and found the bed comfortable.

The pool area was nicely kept up and had good quality sun loungers. The pool is tiny though, just enough for a dip to cool off. As the weather was so hot during our stay, we only used the pool area a couple of times in the morning and once, shortly, in the afternoon.

Trader Joe's is next door, very convenient. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. I also tried a good day spa on St Philips Plaza, just 10 minutes walk from the apartments. We felt safe and comfortable walking in the neighborhood, which is bordering the Catalina Foothills area. For shopping, the large Tucson mall is a 7 minutes drive from the hotel.

The parking lot (in fact the whole compound) is closed during night time, for extra safety. In our apartment we found a remote control to open the gate when coming back from dinner.

Fun fact: Under the nearby bridge that crosses the dry river, is a large colony of bats. In the evening you can watch them fly out, like a smaller version of the famous bat colony in Austin, TX - and without the crowds.

They have a guest laundry on site and there is a small gym.

We warmly recommend this place, it is perfect for couples looking for a quiet and relaxing time in Tucson.

What an amazing find Riverside Suites was for a recent business trip to Tucson. It is an extended-stay property with full apartments, a pool and some of the most beautiful floral surroundings imaginable in a desert community. Birds galore. Smallish pool, but very clean. Walled in, although this is not a rough neighborhood. A major plus: Trader Joe's, and good salad and coffee shops right next door. The price is remarkable, for what you get. Lots of little extras here, too. The best thing about the property is Renee...efficient, responsive, considerate and very nice. Would return here without thinking.

Room Tip: Away from the road is probably quieter.

These little bungalows tucked away behind Trader Joes on Limberlost are the perfect home away from home. They are furnished with beautiful linens and impressive decor. There is a tennis court, putting green, gym, pool and conference room. They are close to all amenities and have that Southwest charm that makes Tucson a special place to visit or live.
