“Wonderful stay in the Storm Catcher”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2013

We had a relaxing, wonderful time at the Casitas. We stayed August 8-15. The casita is clean, well-equipped with everything that you need, and nicely decorated. There's even a blender and glasses for Margaritas if desired. We enjoyed visiting the farm animals and the caretaker, Brian, was full of info about each of them and very interesting. Beth and Bob were gracious hosts and gave us plenty of privacy but made us feel very welcome. We felt very much at-home. The Saguaro National Park is just down the road with lovely hikes and the sky at night is breath-taking. We will definitely stay again!

Just spent our second summer weekend at the Casitas - this time staying in Harvest Wind. This is a wonderful place to stay - so quiet and peaceful. We found the Casitas a couple of years ago when we were looking for somewhere other than a hotel to stay at in Tucson, which we visit often. (we live in the Phoenix area). Beth has been so accommodating on both our stays, allowing us to "upgrade" to a larger casita. These are artfully decorated, well equipped and the grounds are beautifully landscaped and kept. The "spool" (large spa) is also a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Definitely one of our favorite spots in the Tucson area.

We recently returned from a trip which we called "A Taste of Arizona". One of our stops on our journey was at The Casitas. We spent three wonderful nights in the Rain Dancer. Spacious, well-equipped, gorgeous desert gardens, access to the spa/pool (spool), a great caretaker who made sure we had all we needed as Bob and Beth were away at the time, not to mention the al fresco dining each evening enjoying the privacy and the beauty of the night sky. We both said that we could live in the casita. We will definitely return and hope to bring family with us!!

This place exceeded our expectations! We went for just one night but ended up staying an extra night because it was so darn cute and comfortable. We stayed in a very nicely remodeled Casita and there was terrific attention to detail. Beth and Bob have done a fantastic job making some very beautiful accommodations with rustic Southwest decor. Don't be surprised by the amount of wood and leather in your room, there may even be a pair of Cowboy Chaps hanging on the coathook! Paths and property are marked by well -landscaped gravel paths and there are plenty of animals to visit. The hot tub (spool) was amazing! It is strategically placed for privacy yet offers views like no other and plenty of stars to see at night. We are so grateful to have stumbled across this gem and encourage everyone to drop in for a visit!

Room Tip: The Tack Room is the newest addition and although smaller, our favorite of the Casitas!

We absolutely loved our stay at the casitas. Our house, Rain Dancer, was more than big enough for the three of us, and we loved the quiet around the house, the privacy, and the well-equipped kitchen. Beth and Bob, the owners, are very friendly and willing to give suggestions for excursions. Of course it was hot in August, but thanks to the AC no problem at all!

At the end of our trip to South East Arizona we stayed in Harvest Wind for a week. We had an excellent time. The casita is well equipped and very comfortable. It sits in a private garden surrounded by shrubs and cacti with lovely views of the mountains. You are on the edge of the city yet there is the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Tucson is an easy city to get around and we found plenty to do in the seven days we were there. For supplies there is a supermarket ten minutes away with a pharmacy, bank etc and Beth is kind enough to let you use her laundry facilities. Beth and Bob are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They do not take credit cards so if you are not from the US be prepared for multiple trips to the ATM in the supermarket!

Room Tip: The casitas are different sizes so visit the website for details - we found Harvest Wind a good size...

This is our third winter stay and it won't be out last. Wonderfully quiet, comfortable, well equipped, casitas, with the best bed linens I have ever encountered. The only thing you might hear are owls, coyotes, the roosters and sometimes the other farm animals. Bob and Beth are very accomodating and helpful. A few miles out of town, but that only adds to the charm and tranquility.
