Through work, I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past year. It just seemed like there was always a problem every time, most times several problems. Room issues, out of this, out of that, poor customer service etc.
A big part of the problem in my opinion is that of the Hyatt Place business model. And that is, they have one or two people in lobby doing everything. The check-in counter extends to the snack bar, which extends to the hotel bar. It seems they're all like this. This would be fine, if the lobby never gets busy, which is does. Therefore, one or more customers are on the short end.
Another problem, at least at this location, is that most of the staff is very young. I don't blame the young staff themselves, as they try. But they just don't have the experience to handle most situations it seems. They're not bartenders, or cooks or front desk clerks...and certainly not all three - which is what they are asked to do.
I won't be staying here again.More
