the employees /actors make the visit worth coming back again. Their knowledge along with some humor tied together makes the visit well worth the trip.I will go back.

I thought this attraction was cute, a little scary but mostly just informative and interesting. The staff here are great, in costume and playing the parts of pirates. Great scenery inside the museum! Highly recommend as part of the Salem experience!!!

This tour was supposed to be family friendly...however, we had a VERY RUDE tour guide, who did not know how to handle younger children. My son LOVES pirates, and at 3 1/2 he is very well behaved...he was very excited and loved looking at all of the pirates, but while asking ME questions (not even interupting the guide) he stopped and spoke directly to my son asking him to quiet down. After moving to the back of the tour, to not interupt the rest of the group, he again came over to my son and said "hey buddy, I have a game, let's see how quiet you can be"...ARE YOU KIDDING ME! He wasn't even talking at that point, and if it was a real concern he could have spoken to me or my husband...or better yet, post an age group that can stay quiet for the 20 minute tour...of cheesy/rundown pirate paraphernalia no less! NEVER going back again!

Out of the three attractions that you can get into on a special ticket, this is by far the best. Guides were great and the displays and information were even better. Don't ecpect perfect, but the kids will love it. Gift shop is loaded with pirate stuff. They have three coins on display from the the Whydah, Attocha and another ship. Lots of history info about the pirates out of New England. Lot of fun and doesn't last long enough.

This was great fun. A 'pirate' takes you on a tour of the history of pirates, giving you lots of fun facts, as well as educating you along the way. There is lots to see as well, with ships and various characters along the route you walk. Great fun.
