We came to Salem for my birthday so of course there was huge pressure for everything to be perfect. This was also our first experience with a B&B in the US and it was a great! The house is immaculately kept, our room was serviced everyday and we always looked forward to breakfast and meeting the other guests. Ada puts on a good spread, our favourite were the fruit scones - being Australians, the way Ada made them reminded us of home. Amelia Payson House is well located to the town centre (not too close, but not too far away either). It is expertly run with an eye to detail. Ada and Don know what they're doing and I don't hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking of staying in Salem - you won't be sorry.
