Stayed in a lovely private room with private bath with a view of Salem Harbor. The home takes you back in time. The host, Bob She is most accommodating. A convenient walk to all that Salem has to offer.

Salem, Massachusetts: Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast: "Absolutely Beautiful!"

I stayed only for an overnight, but I am so impressed by the beauty of the small hotel, a Georgian Federal house in the center of historic Salem. The owner of this place, Bob is very hospitable and a wonderful person attending to the needs of the customers. This hotel looks more like a home than a commercial one. It is a quiet place where one could relax. I highly recommend Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast for every one who comes to Salem, Massachusetts.

We are fourth time visitors and Bob Shea has topped himself at Morning Glory. We've always had a wonderful time but what can you say about unexpected warm, yummy brownies on an icy cold day? How about new cool little flat screen TVs with DVD in each room? Wireless access? Computer available to all? This is all new. This in addition to the usual excellent homemade goodies at breakfast and fridge, wineglasses, corkscrew, and microwave for guests. The cozy den is the place to meet interesting visitors. On other visits we've used the rooftop deck with nice ocean breezes and bay view for after dinner cordials. Bob and his parents are natives and super hospitable and informative. One feels a genuine interest and warmth. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Morning Glory is ideally located. We walk to excellent food, museums, sights, shops, etc. Park your car in the lot and forget about driving.

Everything about my experience with the Morning Glory and the Shea's was wonderful. A friend and I stayed their for a mother's weekend away. The location was perfect for shopping, dining and visiting the museums (and on a bitter cold weekend in January having a central location was important!). Breakfast is served in an inviting room that has ocean views. At the end of the day coming back to an inviting fire in the Rebecca Nurse room was an added bonus and the ability to watch dvds in the privacy of our room was really great!

There are so many details that make the Morning Glory a great place to stay in Salem. It'd be difficult to list them all here but some of the key ones are: off street parking, fantastic location, very friendly and helpful hosts (Bob's parents were in charge during our stay), a safe neighborhood, and cozy, comfortable rooms.

My husband and I celebrated our Honeymoon at The Morning Glory Inn B+B. Our host Bob Shea was warm and hospitable as well as thoughtful and courteous. The Inn was imaculate and quaintly decorated with all the charm of a New England cottage. The Inn is located on the water and the view is spectacular and serene. The conveinient location to all of the historic attractions was optimal.

We plan on returning next year for our anniversary. We'll see you soon Bob!

Fondly,

It was just by luck we got to stay at this beautiful B&B. We drove to Salem from Prince Edward Island, Canada and stopped at the Visitors Information. Luckily there was the top floor suite available, originally we were going to stay for 1 night but ended up staying for two. The rooms were so clean and had a warm romantic feel to them and best of all it was within walking distance of everything Salem has to offer and our room had a view of the beautiful lake.

I brought my husband to his favorite place, Salem, MA, for his 50th birthday. I wanted a romantic place and found it at 22 Hardy Street in Salem, MA - Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the lovely Rebecca Nurse room that had a wonderful fireplace that was not only romantic, but warming on a January evening.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful (Bob & Marianne). Marianne's baked goods for breakfast were out of this world. They went out of our way to make our stay enjoyable, going as far as getting cocca for us. The B&B was clean and comfortable, including the common room. They even remembered that it was my husband's birthday and wished him such as well.

We are going to definitely make the Morning Glory an annual event.
