This little breakfast/lunch place is conveniently located at Essex and Washington on the west end of the pedestrian-only section of Essex Street. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the waitress and she promptly brought us menus and coffee. She was very friendly and came back at regular intervals to fill up our coffee and see if we needed anything else. Food was great. I got blueberry pancakes and my husband had an omelet with home fries. The home fries in particular were very tasty - they put some kind of seasoning on the home fries a little kick. Prices are very reasonable as well.

This place is GREAT. When ever i visit salem i eat breakfast at this place. They are easy and accomodating. The food is good and inexpensive. It's a great start to any day! If you're staying here and had an under-par continental breakfast at any of the wonderful B&B's in town, make a pit stop here, you won't be disapponted! The staff are great too, always kind and helpful!

We ate at the Fountain Place every morning we were in Salem. It was always crowded, but the food was perfect breakfast fare. The staff was incredibly busy, but always friendly and there in a jiffy. The prices of the meals were the best part! It was the least expensive out of all the restaurants we had visited on our week long trip. If you like an un-
fancy but yummy breakfast...this is the place to go!
