Me and my girl stayed in this hotel and as soon as we walked in the front door it was so clean and smelled so nice. The front desk man was very friendly and helpful. Our room was good size and very clean and again, smelled great! The location of the hotel is perfect. Next to everything. We can't wait to stay in the summer. Thank you Salem Waterfront for a great time!! Scott & Jane

Room Tip: We had the room that faced Derby St. It was a nice view.

It was a spur of the moment trip, and we usually stay at the Salem Inn. Let me say we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, friendliness, awesome amenities and great staff. We will be back! I had read some not so good reviews and to be honest tried to go with an open mind but was worried. We were upgraded to a suite, and even given free tickets to the Peabody museum. Refreshments and snacks (choc. covered strawberries and brownies) were put in the lobby so you could sit by the fireplace...pool was spotless...room was just great. Breakfast at the Regata downstairs was really good, we almost didnt eat there, im glad we did..and the waitress was really sweet and helpful without being over solicitous. I honestly can not wait to take another road trip up there !!! :-)

Overall the hotel was nice, clean and the staff friendly, and in a great location within walking distance of all the local attractions, however, we didn't expect to be awoken by noisy Northeast Carting just after 4AM, which sat right outside our room for nearly 2 hours with their engine running.........

We hosted a fashion show in the ballroom at the Salem Waterfront Hotel the experience from start to finish was excellent. The hotel were completely open to listening to our requests and put everything in place just as we wanted it to be! This included creating special food on the menu and drinks for the bar along with renting equipment for our show. Everything was taken care of so beautifully it made our show feel effortless. During the event the team were very attentive and sensitive to our needs and making our event a success. Thank you for going above and beyond in supporting our vision and making our event possible!

Stayed for an event a few weeks ago. Excellent location and staff was really nice. Rooms reasonably priced for the off-season although our Jr suite did not have a view so ask up front if you want a view. Hotel bar was small so not much room if you have a large crowd. Rooms clean and on-site parking. Lobby restrooms were clean and well kept. Minor issue with billing was resolved. Overall worth the visit and would come back.

Our stay however brief, was quite enjoyable as we have come to expect at this Hotel. Always quiet, charming and hospitable. Our spot when we visit this fun City. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Room is top notch and comfortable. Great locale to get out and just walk. It has served as our hub when we visit, and we try to visit two to three times a year. Another fine stay! Our thanks to the staffs hospitality and the comfort of this fine establishment. Room Tip: Rooms away from elevators avoid more noise and traffic. Liked my view of the harbor to my east. View...

Our annual sojurn to Salem for their excellent film fest is over, and once again, did not disappoint. The people at the Salem Waterfront Hotel make it an absolute delight to stay there. We stayed in a junior suite this year (we had a king last year) and actually liked it quite well - comfortable, with excellent space for just the two of us. The rooms were always well taken care of by the capable housecleaning staff, and everything was in perfect working order as always. We make the Waterfront our home away from home each year for our trip to Salem, and always come away satisfied. We even got "VIP Of the day" on Wednesday, mostly because I think due to the fact that it was mid week and winter, there were only a few others staying there. We'll be back next year for sure.

Room Tip: Best rooms are on the ends of each floor away from the elevators - they're always quiet and comf...
