we stayed at the waterfront hotel for 4 nights and had a traditional room with 2 queen beds since there was 4 of us. we were there to explore Salem and check out a few historic sights and places because of the interesting history. the location of the hotel was perfect for us, it was so close to almost everything we wanted to check out. it was a really short drive from the hotel to all the witchcraft stores that i wanted to go to. when we first got there it looked quaint from the outside but had a warm cozy welcoming feeling on the inside. the fireplace in the lobby was burning which somehow smelled good. the people working at the front desk were really nice people, very friendly and fast with the whole check in process. even though everything and everyone was nice, something still felt "off" to me almost like there was some negative energy hanging around. brushed it off and blamed it on the long drive from Chicago. when we got in our room, it was really warm in there, the heat was definitely on and working. the room was very clean and smelled like apple cinnamon. got to admit it was a really large room which made it comfortable for all of us. the view from the room was pretty cool and the sun lit up the whole room in the morning. the beds were pretty comfortable, the blankets were soft and warm. the bathroom was big and clean, the towels were really soft. the keurig machine in the room was a nice touch, even had a variety of coffees to choose from which made it even better. on our second night there i was woken up by a burst of cold air on my face and when i sat up there was someone standing in front of the window but when i turned one of the lights on, no one was there and everyone else was sleeping. the window was not open and the heat was on so the cold air remains a mystery. on the third night, i got up to get something to drink and i saw the same thing standing in front of the window but disappeared when i turned the light on. i think it has something to do with the weird "off" feeling i got when we first arrived but i don't know so i think this hotel is haunted or at least the room we were staying in was haunted. on the bright side the hotel had a pool which was really fun we used it every day we were there. the pool was warm and big and relaxing. towels were indeed provided. we never ate at the hotel so can't really say much about the food. other than that the hotel is really great in every aspect, the staff are friendly and helpful, the spirits on the 4th floor seem nice, the cleaning staff did a great job, quality was outstanding, prices were good. there was an antique shop not far from the hotel that had pretty cool stuff, got an old ouija board that was apparently used "way back then". recommend checking that place out. the witchcraft stores that were near the hotel turned out to be pretty amazing, got a lot of books and other things so if you're into witchcraft then check those places out. anyways, definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Salem, no doubt about it you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: spirits roam the 4th floor at night

First off the picture of the room does not represent how the rooms are. To me they were dark, dingy, and dirty. Secondly this place false accused my wife and I of smoking cigarette in the room when neither of us smoke. When we called back they claimed they had photographic evidence(creepy on its own, and obviously a lie) of us smoking. When we checked out none of this was told to us and they proceeded to charge us 250 extra dollars for "deep cleaning" which i don't believe the place has ever done. When we tried to dispute the charges they told we needed to reach out to the manager who was always conveniently in a meeting or out. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have traveled for many years and have stayed in some excellent hotels. I would rate this property at the top of my list based on the quality of the rooms and service. It’s not the glitz and glam of some 5 star properties but it’s is all you could ask for at a reasonable price. Location is awesome, close proximity to everything. They have a very cool restaurant and bar. Service staff is very attentive. If you are in Salem, you should try it.

This is a wonderful hotel! Rooms are exceptionally clean, everyone is super friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the restaurant is great! The best part is it is located right in walking distance to all the witchy attractions and shopping. As soon as you walk onto the sidewalk there are colored lines and each represents a trail you could walk that leads you to attractions or specific locations.
