I spent one night at the Salem Inn in Salem, MA with my 2 adult children and niece. We were packing in as many witch attractions as we could before we had to take my niece to the Logan Airport.
Check in was easy. We were assigned to the Peabody House which was two doors down... Not a big deal. There was plenty of parking behind the house and it was easy to access. The house is three stories - we were on the second floor in a "suite". There was a queen bed and a twin bed with a trundle.
The reason I'm giving only three stars was because the room was in great need of updating. The wall to wall carpet was wrinkled, the bathroom paint was pealing, the love seat was dated... That said, the room was very clean and the AC worked good. The queen bed was very firm, but not bad. The towels were clean and seemed newish. The shower was fine (good water pressure), though very dated.
The breakfast was in the main building (two doors down) and was very nice. The quiche was yummy and the fruit fresh. The coffee was great!
If they give the Peabody House a few updates, it will be a 4 or 5 star hotel!
