“great location on riverwalk.”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

This hotel is on the riverwalk so that make it nice. the rooms are very nice. we had a room facing the Riverwalk. with a balcony. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful with anything you need help with and know the downtown area. The room had a fridge in the room so that's nice we didn't evening ask for the fridge. This hotel has nice patio over looking the river with a bar. we would stay again had a good time. This Courtyard is not like the others so if you think the others are boring or not that good this one give you feel of a full service hotel. Thanks everyone for making my stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: rooms in the back of the hotel facing the river for riverwalk view. Rooms facing front of the hotel...

Thank you so much for staying with Courtyard San Antonio Riverwalk during your recent visit to the Alamo City, and sharing your feedback on Trip Advisor! I was very pleased to hear that our helpful and knowledgeable team members were instrumental in making your stay enjoyable! The weather has been quite pleasant recently, so am delighted to hear you were able to relax in our outdoor spaces. As the holidays approach and the river is decorated for the season, I hope that we will see you again to enjoy the Ford Holiday River Parade, or just come back to see the lights! Again, thank you for choosing Courtyard San Antonio Riverwalk!

Sincerely,

Kellie Smith

I recently planned a small industry meeting at the Courtyard Riverwalk. While the property itself & accommodations were excellent, the hotel's staff are the real shining stars.

Many of our attendees commented on the outstanding customer service & overall friendliness of the staff. Everyone from the valet attendants to the registration desk staff to the housekeepers to security staff was so genuine & helpful with many situations where they went above and beyond in their service. If you are planning a meeting for 150 people or less, you won't find a better or more accommodating property in San Antonio than the Courtyard Riverwalk.

Room Tip: Our room on the 15th floor offered a great view of the downtown and River Walk- Rooms 1511-1514 had...

Overall this is a very nice hotel and centrally located in San Antonio TX.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and my room was serviced and cleaned nicely every day.

I was on the 4th floor and although small the room was well appointed. I had a comfortable king bed plus the couch had a fold out twin bed, which I didnt need as I was traveling alone for business, but a couple with one child could survive ok for a few days. The bathroom was a good size and was very clean which I like to see.

I was attending a conference so I wasn't at the hotel during the day, but in the evening I did use the Bistro which is a small bar/resturant and I was pleasently surprised with the menu and the service.

I would recommend this hotel as a great staging point for a trip to San Antonio.

Room Tip: The view from the rooms are not always great, so ask about the best view rooms when you check in. I...

We loved the location of this hotel. Just down from the main hub of the River Walk, but only a 5 minute walk. Close enough to be in the mix, but far enough away that it was quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were good size and clean. They have the updated Courtyard lobby and decor, which is great, and we liked the patio and outdoor area on the River Walk. The pool was a disappointment though, it was very tiny. If we came back with the kids, we wouldn't select this hotel due to the pool size. But, traveling for business and with friends, it's the perfect stay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about Courtyard San Antonio Riverwalk. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit to the Alamo City and our very convenient Riverwalk location and outdoor relaxation spaces! Our hotel team will appreciate your kind comments regarding their helpful nature and friendly attitudes, as well as the cleanliness of our rooms. I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the size of our hotel pool. While common in many urban hotel settings, we recognize the size of our pool can be a challenge for families. Well First off me and my boyfriend stayed there i believe it was the 9th through the eleventh of August ( i may be wrong). The first thing i read about this place was the parking being ridiculous and you could sort of see that from the people arriving. So we ended up parking in a parking garage less than a block away from the hotel, and it was pretty cheap to be there for two days. When we got to the hotel we were greeted by a guy named Phil, and he was just freaking awesome he made the hotel light up with his smile. I had made reservations with a girl named Jennifer or Jasmine I’m not sure like a week before and asked for a high floor room, and when we got there it was exactly what i wanted! Unfortunately, i had a gift for her upon arrival but was told that she would not be there for a month!
So when we got to the room it was looking over the river walk and it faced towards some of the other buildings in the area (it was beautiful). For us being there for just two days the room was perfect we didn’t have much stuff, the bathroom was big enough for both of us to get ready in the morning, and the balcony was big enough for us to just enjoy the view. Finding places to go was super easy, if you like to explore i would suggest that you just walk around because there is just so much stuff to do there! The evening of our arrival i ran into Phil as soon as his shift was over and he asked how things were going hes really super nice and helpful (everyone should get trained by him).
That night my boyfriend became ill because of the jetlag from getting off an 18 hour flight that morning, and when i went down to the market area the night audit was nowhere to be found. I grabbed some milk and other things for him, and waited for about 10-15 minutes for the night audit to return, and when he did there was a cute girl talking and walking with him...which i understand " a cute girl...hell never see her again. Once in a lifetime chance.." blahblahblah.... I was a bit upset that he would just leave the front desk, because by the time he got back there were two other women waiting as well. When he grabbed the market items he seemed a bit uninterested in whatever i was doing and quickly asked "room or cash", and by this time i was just not having it i handed him the cash he grabbed it and i was on my way the heck out of there . Am not sure how night audits are supposed to be but this one seriously pushed my buttons maybe its because i was in a bit of a rush but still he should have at least faked a smile and apologized for not being there. This is probably the only reason why i did not give this hotel an excellent rating. So look everyone if you need something at the middle of the night get it before the blonde guy comes in for the next shift it may take a while to get the things you need!

As for my departure it was wondeful the girl at the front desk ws super sweet and asked how things went, i dont remember her name but she had some cute nails! Anyways sorry for my rant everyone but this place is great if you are traveling with someone for the weekend just watch out for the traffic in the morning with the valet!

Room Tip: Make sure to get a high floor room NOT the ones above the enterance if that makes sense. Only becaus...

Our room and bathroom were gorgeous and very well stocked. Bed was very comfortable. Loved sitting on the patios looking over the Riverwalk. The girl at Starbucks located on the first floor made the best coffees and turned me into a convert. Was there from out of town for a wedding and had a private breakfast with some of the wedding guests. Great food and plenty of it.

Access to the Riverwalk on one side, St Mary's St on the other. Easy walk to the Market, restaurants and the mall. Only drawback was there is no onsite parking, valets take your car to a parking garage and bring it back when you call for it--for a daily parking fee. You can take your car in and out on the same ticket during the day, so you're not paying each time.

Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: This building is wedged between two others on the north and south sides. The West has the views of t...

Stayed here one night with family. The hotel is a little hard to find, mostly because of the small entrance. Also, the only 2 options for parking are valet or public parking a little farther from the hotel so best bet is just to go do the valet. Valet service was quick. We were checking in early evening so not much competition so I would wonder how the valet service is when it's peak hours. Lobby was nice, rooms are spacious (bigger than what we had at Holiday Inn at San Francisco) and the bathroom was very well stocked. We were here for a really short time so it helped that the back entrance of the hotel led to the Riverwalk. It was a quieter area of the Riverwalk so you have to walk a bit (like 2 mins) to the more populated area. We walked to Alamo as well and it was like a 5 minute walk going there.
Their cafe served Starbucks drinks, there were vendos in the lobby and a business center. Wifi was free and pretty fast as well.
Would stay here again if given a chance.
