We stayed just one night here and I SO wish it could've been a couple more! All of the staff were very kind and helpful. The room was immaculate, we had a king terrace. As suggested by someone on tripadvisor, I requested a Riverwalk view terrace and they were nice enough to accomodate. The view was absolutely beautiful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I liked the layout of the room. The toilet and shower had a door with the sink and mirrors just outside, so you could still get ready while the bathroom was being used.

The free breakfast had tons of options from fruit to toast, bagels, waffles, biscuts & gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes.... the list goes on! Unfortunately, we arrived too late in the day to enjoy the free happy hour with snacks and drinks- that was a bummer! There is also a restaurant (or two?) downstairs. You can walk directly from the downstairs restaurant level onto the Riverwalk, which we did shortly after we arrived. In the morning after breakfast, we were able to walk out the front door and and it was a very short walk down the block to the Alamo. We then continued around the block until we saw a sign for Riverboat Barge tours, so we bought two tickets for that, when that was completed it was another short walk back to the hotel. I was really happy that, even though checkout is at 11am, they allow you to keep your car in the garage until 1PM, which was great because we were able to get so much sightseeing done before 1!

My recomendation is to stay more than one night, because one night was simply not enough to enjoy what this hotel and the surrounding area had to offer!

Room Tip: Terrace with a Riverwalk view!

This is the second time we have stayed here. Once in 2010 for 3 nights. Was such a great experience we came back for just a one night stay on our way back home from Nashville. This is a wonderful place to stay. Close to everything in San Antonio! You just walk out the back dorr to so many wonderful restaurants and sites. The Alamo is just a short walk. The hotel has a wondeful happy hour that is absolutely fantastic. You will love this palce, we did and will come back here everytime we are in the area.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the Riverwalk!

Me and boyfriend have stayed here several times, both occasions we opted for a sweet with and bedroom, small living room, and kitchenette. We also opt for the rooms with a balcony overlooking the river. This is a very nice hotel, a little older but still has everything you would need for a nice stay on the river. The staff is always courteous and the hotel is very well located.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and thought the hotel was a good value for what you got and the location. Got a promo code off the website, so the room was $100/night cheaper than the others along the river. parking was $16 compared to $29/night at other riverwalk hotels. The free breakfast had biscuits/gravy sausage, eggs, waffles, so saved us money over buying breakfast somewhere.

Location was excellent, Its on the river itself, just west of most of the restaurants on the riverwalk, can be in the heart of it all in 5 min walk.

The carpet was worn some, if you are uber picky about that, well then you need to get a life, pay an extra 100/night and stay elsewhere.... But the rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. would definatly recommend this hotel if you want to stay on riverwalk!

This hotel is in an older, classic San Antonio downtown building adjacent to the Westin Riverwalk and convenient to the popular Riverwalk restaurants and bars. The lobby is large and clean but rather dated in style with tile floors and the feeling of a large, old bank building. The rooms start on the fifth floor and the tile hallways and decor are reminiscent of the 1940s, so I was pleasantly surprised to find my room was generously sized with a flat screen TV, desk, and updated bathroom with modern fixtures and granite counters. The room was very comfortable.

The hotel has valet parking only for about $22/day including tax, but they give you a "ticket" to get a free breakfast and three (3) free alcoholic beverages each evening! Unfortunately, I was unable to partake in any of the freebies because I had to speak at a conference in the nearby Westin. The Westin was more upscale, but my room was quite nice and cost $100 less per night. The Drury Inn appeared to have few vacancies based on the number of people I saw eating breakfast each morning.

I was disappointed that my room didn't have a safe, but the hotel has several safe boxes at the front desk and they let me lock up some valuables and gave me the key. My room did have free a WiFi, free long distance calls, and a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, and iron and ironing board. All the hotel staff I interacted with were pleasant, courteous and timely, and the management team seemed very concerned that all guests have an enjoyable stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a great value in downtown San Antonio.

We stayed here for two nights during a week-long, three city trip to Texas. We have three tween boys and the suite size was perfect for our family of five. The breakfast and kick- back were also perfect as was the location. Just head to the lower level of the hotel, walk out, and you are right on the Riverwalk. We also took advantage of hotel's heated pool on the 7th floor and our balcony overlooking part of the Riverwalk. Our boys loved the popcorn and soda in the lobby after 3 pm each day.

Our room was not ready when we arrived (before scheduled check-in) but we were greeted with a smile, given a pass to park, and told that housekeeping was asked to work on our room next. Shortly thereafter we received a call that our room was ready. Everyone was pleasant, nice and welcoming throughout our stay.

The only drawbacks (if you can really call them drawbacks) is that the living room in our suite lacked windows - so it is very dark unless a light is on. Opposite, in the bedroom, the outside balcony light stays on all night - which is noticeable even with the blackout curtains. The hallway on the 7th floor, where we were located, had a musty smell. But otherwise things were great and we spent almost all our time outside of our room and hotel anyways!

We will definately stay here again when in San Antonio! Thanks Drury!

We stayed here two years ago however I never wrote a review at that time as I was not a member here. This complex is located right beside the river walk. Easy walking distance to the Alamo and many other sites in this part of the city.
The staff are wonderful. The food is also very good. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Be sure to take a tour of the court house located near the Alamo.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the river canal.
