This is my favorite hotel in Texas. I have been lodging at this hotel for years for business and frequently for pleasure. This location right on and at the end of the Riverwalk is quiet and peaceful. Great lobby and atmosphere. It offers free breakfast and free finger food and drinks in the afternoon. It's very affordable and cannot be beat. The staff is accommodating, friendly and welcoming. I hope to return soon.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the Riverwalk and above the second or third floor. Some Riverwalk revelry can...

Cool old hotel, riverwalk access. Suites had extra room, fridge and microwave - nice with kids. Rooftop pool was basic but kids LOVED it. The best was they had a great breakfast. The kids loved filling their juice and milk and picking from the choices. The choices were vast. Both healthy and hearty choices that we were able to find something good too. They also had a dinner / happy hour buffet which was great for the kids. We fed them hot dogs and salad so we could go eat at a nice restaurant and get them dessert and they were not starving and whiny. I only wish they had a restaurant / bar in the hotel as if we wanted an appetizer or drink we were limited to the buffet/ happy hour (wine/beer/ basic cocktail) from 5-7PM. But it was free and kept kids happy. But with the fridge in suite - you could BYO. Room was basic and clean. Beds were not comfy. Trade off for more upscale and quainter hotel was worth it traveling with kids as they loved the rooftop pool and free pancake / hotdog bar. The staff was GREAT. we had a few issues with our locks and they went over and above.

I have stayed at different Drury Hotels and have never been disappointed. This hotel stay was beyond wonderful! The Drury Inn & Suites on the Riverwalk is such an amazing place. This hotel looks like a million bucks and offers everything for free. Their slogan - the extras aren't extra? Well they stick to that! Full hot breakfast, 5:30 kickback hour of snacks and drinks and popcorn and soda....well - it's an amazing hotel. The staff.....ALL OF THEM....always very kind and courteous. We were even given some free kids meals at a nearby restaurant. YAY! The rooms were soooooooo clean and comfortable and the balconies were excellent! Thank you DRURY for yet another wonderful stay! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

We loved having a balcony overlooking the river walk, we had 5 adults sitting on the balcony at one time! Staff was friendly and the location was great. We enjoyed the room except for the pullout sofa, it really needed a new mattress!

My wife and I were traveling through Texas for a week with her father. Separate rooms would have cost double, so we booked a single suite style room in most of our stops. We spent two nights here in a suite with a separate room / king bed / sleeper sofa setup. The room was quiet (far from the elevator) and spacious, with the bathroom accessible from the main area verses having to go through the separate bedroom. Our balcony overlooked the river walk, but was also high enough to see some of the unsightly tops of other buildings. That's just par for the course downtown...otherwise the view was great. My father in law said the sleeper sofa wasn't that great, but that's how most of them are. Our king bed was great. You can't beat this hotel for location, my late night runs on the riverwalk right out the back door were serene. Free breakfast was above standard, with piping hot fresh eggs, meats, biscuits, and of course waffles, cereal, toast, etc. Free food and drinks from 5 to 7pm were also handy...though with all the wonderful food nearby, unless your trying to save money, you won't want to fill up on chicken strips and baked potatoes. The gym is passable, with a separate rooms for cardio machines and some free weights. Parking costs extra, but not too much. Once you get here, its a joy to leave the car in the safe garage and walk to all the local sites...I truly loved the Riverwalk area and it was well worth the money to stay right on it. Alamo, museums, Ripley's, all within minutes walk. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. A great stay!

Room Tip: Far from the elevator, higher floors would likely be quieter.

We stayed one night and we didnt want to leave. The hotel staff, all of them were very friendly and helpful, especially the maintence man, i wish i would have gotten his name, he gave us directions and suggestions to several places in the city. The staff went way beyond their expectations to make our stay nice. The room was nice, clean comfortable beds and an appealing architectual look. The hotels location to the riverwalk is one of the better spots out of all the other hotels I saw there. The price of this hotel was very good because of all the extras you get, the breakfast was better than what you could get at a restaurant plus at night the kickback was comparable to a light dinner which was a big money saver.

Hotel was clean, large rooms, friendly staff. We did not take advantage of their food/drink offerings but looked fine. Proximity to the river walk is fantastic. Just outside the door. Pleased and would definitely stay here again. Beds were also comfortable.
