“Perfect birthday dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

First visit to Wildfish was amazing. Parking was a little challenging but once inside the experience was great. Lobster Bisque was just ok but the Grouper and the Crab and Shrimp Chopped Salad were fantastic. Really loved the way that the hostess and server (Al) greeted us by name. We truly felt appreciated and that the staff wanted us to have an enjoyable dining experience. While the food was great, the Banans Foster cake stole the show, especially with the "Happy Birthday" personal touch in chocolate. We'll definitely go back.

“Excellent Birthday Dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

I chose the Wildfish Grille because of the reviews on Trip Adviser, and they definitely did not lie. We chose to sit outside, simply because the interior of the restaurant smelled kind of fishy. I understand it is a seafood restaurant, but it was somewhat over powering. Minor detail though compared to the service. Every staff member is customer service oriented. Roy was our waiter, and he was simply amazing. I had mentioned on the reservation that our group was celebrating a birthday. Roy wished me a happy birthday when he initially came to take our orders, and offered a complimentary dessert...I chose the bananas foster cake...decadent! We also dined on lobster bisque, crab rice, steak, jumbo shrimp, and salmon. I will be sure to return very soon, and recommend this restaurant to my friends.

“Best Seafood in San Antonio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

Without a doubt, Wildfish has the best seafood in San Antonio. The scallops were perfect. My wife who normally doesn't eat scallops stated they were so good, she would order them next time. My wife had the North Atlantic sole which was also wonderful. The sides were generous, even the small portions. The snap peas and portobello were great. The broccolini was also good, but a little on the spicy side. The service was superb. We will definitely return!

“Big Surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

On our trip to San Antonio, TX, we checked Trip Advisory for a good restaurant to take our friends and was told about The Wild Fish just outside San Antonio. This turned out to be a fabulous place. It's located in a strip mall but very up class.
Our waiter was very attentive to our every need. The food was delicious. Can't say enough about this restaurant. The manager checked on us several times, once to ask if we had everything we needed and how was our meal and then walked the place but not bothering us.
We wanted to return again during our trip but time was limited.

“Cool Place, Format, SoSo Food, Drinks Are Too Pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

I realize that for some price isn't a problem. But this place doesn't seem like a fine dining type if place, so don't be fooled. Special occasions only type of place. There are not many seafood options in San Antonio, so if you are craving a particular fish, they likely serve it and well. To me the cost to satisfaction ratio wasn't there, but the food is good. The drinks are not good at all but they cost more than some entrees. My redfish could have been cooked much better and the other three in my party did not like their meals. The lobster bisque was excellent but not as good as Texas de Brazil. This place is only slightly better than red lobster, but the variety of seafood is much better.
