Great food! They give you this stainless steel bowl and you fill it up, and I mean fill it up with anything you want. They have every type of meat and seafood, vegetables, fruit, seasonings. They bring it to you very hot, right off of the grill. We really enjoy this place every time we eat here; we are never disappointed. Check them out if you are on the north side of San Antonio.

I like places like this. You can make it as healthy or unhealthy as u want. At this location this evening, the woman's restroom was very very dirty, so said my aunt. The men's room had two toilets...one stopped up and the other with a missing toilet lid!!

It was so so. Stay away from the fake crab meat - it does not cook up well. It cooks up soft and mushy. It takes a while for them to cook up your food.

Strange place but good food and worth the effort. Got through the line and build your own bowl of fantastic food. Nice casual setting for everyone.

As a gluten-intolerant person who is also always trying to trim down, It's nice to go to a place where you have some control of what's on your plate and not at the mercy of some cook who is heavy handed with butter and salt or adds flour to something you wouldn't expect to have flour (like one big chain does their omelets).

It's a stir-fry place; you go down a line filling a small bowl (actually holds a lot) with fresh-looking ingredients. I loaded up lots of great, pretty lo-cal veggies with a few shrimp and scallops, smashed it down to hold more and chose brown rice to go with, chose my spices and sauce, husband did chicken and veggies; we loved everything, real grill flavor, a little brown scorch here and there that we liked (we are freaks for burned onions). Oh, and you can choose an egg still in the shell and it doesn't have to take up bowl space, you can put it in a sauce cup or just give it to the lady and it tastes good the way they cook it with your entree.

I will say I almost got irritated that they tried repeatedly to get us to pay $4 for an "endless" bowl after our meals arrived (we had more than enough) but then I thought about the economy and how the restaurant was mostly empty on a Thursday evening between 6 and 7, so I decided hey, can't blame a good eatery for trying to stay alive till they get more people to discover their slightly off-the-beaten path location. (It's near major interchange construction plus it's around the corner at the end of an already out-of -the-way strip mall off an inconvenient side of 1604 at 281, if coming from the west have to cross over and come back west onto the frontage road and then find it in the strip mall. We got there by mapquest.)

Totally worth the trip though and now that we know how to get there, we will go again. But watch out, there's construction/rush hour traffic (maybe we do lunch one weekend).

One thing I really liked that they did was separate out the few tables of diners (hate when solely for a restaurant's convenience they lump a bunch of us on top of each other in an otherwise empty room so we can all hear each other). We got nice seats looking out into trees that are on the side of the parking lot, surprisingly nice windows and dining room.

Our meals were $8.99, fair price for sure. I thought the wine was maybe a dollar overpriced but then it was a pretty generous serving, not one of those 3-ouncers some places stiff you with. They have a serious-looking bar when you come in, guessing they make good drinks if you are looking for a martini or whatnot.

The staffers, mostly young, not too knowledgeable about details of the food (our nice waiter thought there might be wheat in the brown rice) but they were bend-over-backward friendly, attentive and helpful, at the hostess desk, behind the food bar and out in the dining area (we tipped our waiter plus put a couple bucks in the tip jar at the food bar, people gotta make a living you know). Staffers and manager said bye and held door for us as we left like we were departing friends or kinfolks. Glad we went.
