“Absolutely amazing!”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

I have to first say I may be a bit biased because my husband and I were married here 8 years ago. We fell in love with the missions in San Antonio after taking a trip there the year before we were married. The history and the way these missions have been preserved and taken care of are amazing. Our kids love going and running around on the grounds. The San Antonio mission trial should not be missed!

“Second Mission on the Trail is worth visiting”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

Smaller than San Jose Mission, this one has its own atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday when the service was led by a mariachi band.

“Real sense of history”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

We visited in the morning just as the mission opened. Parking and entrance is free. We were met by a very informative volunteer guide who told us a lot about the history of the missions. We were free to wander and take photos in the buildings and grounds. Mission Concepcion is sensitively conserved rather than restored, and being there early allowed us to soak up the atmosphere in peace. a lovely place to absorb the history and culture of several centuries.

Nice church with Spanish Baroque style and frescoes. Beautiful grounds with very old trees. Easy access and friendly park ranger playing his indian flute.

“Visit Concepcion!”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Concepcion was very fun. It is one of the smaller if not the smallest missions. It is the least "restored" of all the missions, having mostly all of the original structure in tact. I encourage you to visit it :) You won't be disappointed.
