I had the Irish stew. It was ok, but nothing special. If you have a yearning for the real thing, order something else. They do have a good selection of brews on tap at a decent price.

Typical greasy pub food. However, men do not go there for the food at all. It's the beer, sports and bar views. Drink and enjoy the views! Eat somewhere else!

Well, it's better than Hooters - cleaner, more fun, better beer and more interesting food. The wings are not bad at all though I haven't dared to venture much into the faux-British menu given the truly weird mishmash of items. It's like somebody took all the stereotypes of my homeland and added scantily clad young girls. There is a big beer selection and an outdoor seating area for when the weather allows. The service at the bar when I've visited has always been excellent. Overall it's not a bad place to swing by if I'm in the area.

This place has beer and big screen sports. The range of draft beers available was okay, but not as good as the Lion and the Rose, and lightyears behind the excellent The Yardhouse or the outstanding World Of Beer.
They'd run out of a few of the drafts, so that wasn't a great start to our visit.
The menu is not very original, pretty standard selection of pub food. The food is very bland and tasteless. The Irish nachos are devoid of any chili flavour and the cheese sauce is just there for show. No cheese flavour. The garlic fries are great. Strong garlic flavour, so if you fancy something to eat go for those.
The Scotch eggs were tasty, but a little bit overcooked. Worth a try if you like that sort of thing.
Avoid the Dublin Irish Stew at all costs. It has no beef flavour at all. It is all carrot and celery in a light brown sauce with tiny bits of beef hiding amongst the sea of vegetables. The beef is supposed to be slow cooked, but it tasted watery. The worst beef I've eaten in San Antonio. No rich thick gravy, which is what Irish Stew should have. The mash potato in the middle was dry. The garlic bread was half cooked, cold and doughy.
The Gaellic Chicken had a very nice whisky cream sauce, and was probably the best thing on the menu. It was very rich and very creamy, so only order it if you're very hungry.
The service was good, and even though some of the girls were obviously cold from having to wear such trashy outfits. They tried very hard to give good table service, but nothing can make up for the terrible food and lack of draft beer. There are much better places than this in San Antonio.
