Weve been to San Antonio before and taken this tour about a year ago. Things are very different and for the better! All of the tour guides were doing live narrating which was great, i made sure to get their names...Joe and Oscar had good info. Joseph we had only once throughout the two days but he made us laugh. My favorite part was that the bus goes to the Pearl and Museum of Art. No other tour goes out there. The others go to the missions....which are just like the alamo ... So if you want something fun and interesting this would be your tour. The buses are supposed to run every 20 minutes as advertised but they ran about every 30 , which was fine when the girls explained to me that... its spring break and there's going to be traffic! totally understandable. But youll end up staying at a stop for 30 or more minutes anyways so no biggie. We also got the super pass package. Which is a really good rate for the bus (48hr) and the boat and the tower ticket all for $32!

Hour long tour but can jump on jump off from 9-530 for 24hrs. Was able to locate stopping points for my trip with tour rather than walking, driving yourself would be frustrating. The deck bus ride was a nice break too with the breeze and rest time. Narrative tour....

Expensive for the limited insights provided, though the on and off unlimited for 2 days and the tickets for the Tower of the Americas and the Boat rides make the Superpass 48 hr deal relatively less outrageous. The drivers that did not use the recorded tour were more interesting, even if they get in trouble with their boss! We have had far better bus tours in other cities. If you just want transport around the city get a VIA day pass for $4 (which you can get at San Antonio Tourist Information across from the Alamo or on the buses).

We took the bus tour first thing in the morning. We were the only ones on the bus. We had a recorded tour guide and no interaction with the driver. There were stops we could get off at and hop back on another bus. The tour was about an hour. You should do your homework before taking the tour so you know where you would want to get off and see the attraction.

San Antonio guide book has coupon for $3 off each adult so we decided to give this tour a try. The top level of the double decker bus has very limited room for your knees. Be sure to scope out your seat and pick one towards the back of the bus that have a little more room. When the tour began we realized that we could not hear Joe the guide on the top floor speakers so my husband had to go down and tell him. He raised his voice for a minute and we could hear but then went back to his normal low tone voice and there went the whole tour. For the next hour we just took pics of what we saw and could not hear any tour information. I would not pay full price for this tour. The top deck is great for taking pics. Better to use the hop on hop off 24 hour feature if your staying in San Antonio for a few days to really make this tour worth the price.
