Although San Antonio has good Thai, Vietnamese and Korean restaurants, it has been terribly short of decent Chinese restaurants. Sichuan Cuisine is the real thing! Finally! Excellent dishes include Chengdu Style dumplings, Sichuan Tea Smoked Duck, and Sauteed String Beans with Ground Pork. Many of the dishes are seriously hot, such as Bang Bang Chicken (cold appetizer) and Chong Qin Crispy Spicy Chicken (40% crispy pieces of chicken 60% dried red peppers (not to eat)). Chengdu Style Spicy Shrimp also in a mound of hot red peppers; you can - and should - eat the entire shell, minus head and tail. There are even more adventurous dishes on the extensive menu. We've been back several times.
