My wife and I have probably seen at least six of the plays presented in the Classic Theater. The quality of performances often rivals performances that we have seen in New York. Many of the plays are thought provoking and the actors are uniformly professional and polished.
This month (Feb. 2013) we saw "Painting Churches," a story about the Church family and their daughter, a painter. The story explores the issue of aging parents and the challenges that each of us faces as we age. As my wife said, the only problem was that the story was too real. Applause is inadequate to repay the emotions and insights into the Church family that the cast conveyed.
We strongly recommend San Antonio's Classic Theater to everyone seeking a new intellectual experience.
