The church is lovely. Located in the Downtown it is the perfect way to sit in silence and listen to the church style music playing softly in the background. Whether you're religious or not, go and take a look. The details and architecture are truly something.

Beautiful church nestled in the bustling city. Do stop in and pray and praise Our Lord while you are in this city. A peaceful prayerful place to visit.

This is a historic church which lies just off Commerce Street. The Rivercenter Mall was built around this landmark and currently provides Protestant and Roman Catholic services.

As a practicing Catholic, I go to Mass on Sunday. So when I travel, it takes me to some very interesting churches. In fact, from St Patrick's in New York, to the cathedral just off the Las Vegas strip, to the Gesu chapel at Marquette University in Milwaukee, to the cathedral in New Orleans, visiting churches has become one of the more exciting parts of my travels. The St Joseph Church in San Antonio is definitely one of the most memorable. Sure, I was expecting bilingual signage in the church -- but not bilingual as in English and German! I then learned that the most popular European nationality in Texas is German. (That explains the breweries and the use of accordians in the local music!) But this is just a beautiful church. And the story of how the department store that built around the church because the parish wouldn't sell the land is fascinating - and telling; the store is long gone, bit the church lives on!

St Joseph Catholic Church in San Antonio is a small jewelbox -like painted church with beautiful stain glass windows. You feel like you are in an exquisite church in Europe. They have Sunday masses. Go!
