“Good flavor that is unfortunately overpriced and underportioned”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

I came here for my birthday meal. It had the shortest wait time at Pearl. The food was good. However, I ordered the prefix Chilean sampler which was a let-down. Most plates looked to be of generous size. The quality of the food was very good. Some of the flavors were very rich. I had hoped that by ordering a combination that was more expensive than anything else that I would be getting a deal - really, I ended up wanting to stop for a cheap burger on the way home because I didn't get much food at all. The sampler was of good quality, the empanada one of the best on this side of the border, but the main course was dismally small. Instantly I knew that I had made a mistake.

If you want quantity, get a steak or the lamb leg, you will be more satisfied.

I would be willing to return if there was a good discount offer, but will likely try another restaurant first.

“Fun cooking school adventure”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

This was our first visit to San Antonio. We were very happy to get off the main drag. The restaurant was nice, and the food was good. We did a wine paired dinner. One dish was excellent, the other was good but not great. Although the wine was good, the pairing could've been better. I would return; it was fun to see all of the students working their best to produce a good meal.

“CIA restaurant in San Antonio”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

Imaginative menu, well executed. The student staff and their supervisors took very good care of us. All 5 of us - who have different tastes - were very pleased, and want to return. It made a great evening!

“They don't even have ice tea”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

No ice tea on a warm texas day!
Took a long time pork flatbread sandwich was just ok . Meat pattie on burger was good but bun was burned . The prices are fairly high and then they add a. 17 per cent charge to the bill ! It's for scholarship fund for students . But I want to be asked before I make any kind of donation . Cocktails are very very small . Not worth it .
