My wife wanted "real Mexican" during our recent trip, and the in-laws took us to La Fonda. The decor is attractive, with interesting art. The seating was comfortable--and quick. The "standard" chips and salsa was a great start-the chips were warm and not greasy, and the salsa was fresh and not too spicy. The menu had some great spins on the usual fare--my wife ordered sweet potato enchiladas, and they were superb. I had the "La Fonda" combination--chicken flautas that were flaky and tasty, a very cheesy enchilda with tasty sauce--done just right, and a traditional beef taco that was great. Plenty of add-ons--the guacamole was especially good. For dessert, we couldn't resist the orange flan--delicious. The service was attentive, friendly, and the wait staff covered for each other--very nice. We had a most delightful evening at La Fonda, and at a quiet reasonable price, too!
