“Not worth the price”
Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

We walked the San Antonio River Walk for blocks passing up many Tex-Mex places, yet to settle on this one. We ordered the Salmon and the VeraCruise dish. The Tilapia was unfortunately buried under a canned red sauce but once uncovered, you understood and thought it should be re-buried. It was fried (menu said grilled) and thin and tasted like it had been on a warming dish for hours. Needless to say, unappealing and not eaten. But paid for. The Salmon had an odd flavor with a strong fish smell. Yet paid, 21.97 for a smelly fish, not hardly touched. I'm sorry to say, but feel it is necessary, we would not recommend this restaurant, ever. There are too many nice restaurants in the area, with the same pricing, which are worth spending your hard earned dollars.

“Nice location!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

This is right on the busy part of the River Walk. This was the one time we wanted to be part of the action. The service was fine, the salsa and shrimp fajitas were very good and enough to have some take away. But the Mimosas were excellant. Very refreshing. Had two!!! There are better restaurants in SA, but we had a great time and good food here!

“A Nice unhurried lunch with ducks on the Riverwalk”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

The host practically insisted we stop there, so we did. The sopa de tortilla is excellent, but it is enough for two people. Mine was loaded with tender chicken and chunks of fresh avocado. It is served hot, and my husband said it tastes very much like his grandmother made. He enjoyed the chicken quesadillas. The ducks walking around the tables are fun and the staff is friendly and nothing felt rushed. It was much better food than other places along the Riverwalk, and it didn't seem as touristy.

“Beautiful views but food just ok”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We stopped at Paloma for lunch while on vacation in San Antonio. The views are great and even had a Mexican band playing while we were eating. But the food was just so so. Nothing special or memorable at all. I had shrimp fajitas and my husband had enchiladas. Ducks are cute walking around the tables begging for food but not too thrilled about the pigeons sitting on the tree limbs above our head. Really surprised that people don't complain about these birds. It wasn't that it was bad, it just wasn't anything that we will remember 2 weeks from now.

“Great cucumber margarita while sitting by the water”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Enjoyed a couple of cucumber margaritas by the water under an umbrella avoiding the rain. We only had chips and salsa with our drinks, but we enjoyed both. We were initially rebuffed because of an impending rain shower, but we got to enjoy people, river, and duck watching while sipping our delightful beverages.
