“Great place to stay!”
Reviewed 15 April 2010

We enjoyed everything at this hotel. The two queen bed suite was clean and very nice. The valet parking (covered) on-site was amazing and we had no issues at all with safety. The breakfast, evening appetizers and drinks (alcohol & sodas) were very good each day. The hotel is conveniently located on the river walk and very close to the Alamo, Buckhorn Museum, Rivershire Mall, and all five Ripleys. It took me hours on line looking at reviews before I selected this hotel, I chose the perfect one!

We stayed at the Drury Plaza over Easter weekend. We had reservations at other hotels, but ultimately decided on the Drury, mainly because of Tripadvisor's reviews. We weren't disappointed! We had a 2 room suite on the corner on the 9th floor. Great views! There was plenty of room even with the pull out couch opened. We had a king bed which was very comfortable. The couch not so much. Flat screen TV's were a nice touch, as well as the frig and coffeemaker. The breakfast was important to us since our teens need to eat right when they wake up! It was good & hot. The free popcorn and pop from 3-10 was much appreciated & delicious!. The kids snacked on the appetizers in the evening-too junky for us. The pool and hot tubs had an awesome view on the 23rd floor. The workout room needs a serious overhaul. . The walk to the busy area on the riverwalk was minimal-5 min. The hotel is very centrally located. You won't regret staying here.

Went to the womens Final 4!!! Great hotel...great beds...wonderful pool and hot tubs...
Food wasn't great...{cold} but adequate...Probably great for families with small children.
Charming lobby {former bank} with high ceilings and ornate gold moldings...
Friendly helpful staff....we joked that the employees must have had "Hospitality training."
And best of all the UCONN women won!. Location .on Riverwalk...

My adult daughter and I stayed a night at the Drury while vacationing in TX for a week. We decided to stay in San Antonio for a couple days to enjoy the Riverwalk and Alamo. The staff were excellent, the complimentary drinks and snacks were plenty for a meal, as was the breakfast buffet they served in the morning. The hotel was kind enough to allow us to keep our car parked in their garage (no additional fee-though they said it may cost an additional $10, they never charged us) on our checkout day and held our bags for us while we spent the day exploring-thus eliminating another parking lot charge somewhere else. Getting to the Riverwalk from the Drury was simple and easily accessible. The room was nice and clean with a refrigerator and microwave. Free internet that worked well. We came in on a Sunday night after a day at Six Flags and were pleased with the Happy Hour offerings, the roof top pool and hot tubs for relaxing with our complimentary drinks (good drinks!), full tummies and watching the sunset over San Antonio. We hurried in the morning to get to breakfast thinking they may run out of food-as our experience has been at many hotels....not the case, plenty of food with a wide variety to please. Beds were comfortable, little hallway noise when loud guests went by. Beautiful hotel with its own interesting history. Would definitely stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel Riverwalk. Best rates were on a Sunday night.

The Drury Plaza was everything that everyone said it would be! Our group reserved a total of three different rooms and each was unique in its lay out, comfortable and clean! We enjoyed meeting for cocktails at 5:30 (and a bite to eat) but be sure to get to the great restaurants for a real dinner! There are too many to pass up. The managers were very available and quick to greet you and they always checked to see how your visit was going.
Thank you everyone at Drury for making our stay so comfortable!
One tip for other visitors-when you get to the river walk from the hotel (elevator to the basement) TURN RIGHT at the river and keep walking. We spent a lot of time looking for someplace to eat our first night-we can laugh now about how tangled up we got. It is simple, but take a right and keep right to find the quickest restaurants!

We stayed here a year ago, and this year we returned with our kids. We all loved it. The kids still can't get over swimming in the pool up on the roof. This place is class all the way, with marble and brass everywhere, and the friendliest staff you'll find anywhere. Great breakfast, and great happy hour with free food and drinks. And the views of the sunset from the roof can't be beat. We would stay here again any day.

DRURY AT THE RIVERWALK is simply the best hotel. Staff was great and so was the valet service. We were assigned a corner room which made it even more pleasant as there were so many windows. Wi-Fi internet was a plus.

Complimentary food and drinks were great though we ate out most of the time.

Conveniently located near shopping and the Mercado.

San Antonio (esp. during Christmas) is one fabulous city to visit. Truly left my heart there when we left. Was very sad to leave.
