Noble Inns - The Jackson House

The Jackson House was a perfect place for our sorority reunion. The house was decorated in beautiful period antiques, very, very clean, wonderful breakfasts and plently of living space for catching up on events of years past. We were close to the River Walk and other points of interest.
Very comfortable in every way. Being in The King William Historic District is an added attraction and is a safe neighborhood. We rented the entire house.

Ten sorority sisters gathered after 50 years for a memorable weekend at The Jackson House. It was perfect for a group to have this beautifully appointed and well located home to ourselves. The owners provided everything we could ask for and the breakfast each morning was delicious and graciously served. I will definitely recommend The Jackson House to others and look forward to returning again.

The idea was to choose a bed and breakfast as opposed to a hotel to get the full traditional and colonial experience as we had some work colleagues from other countries with us (England and Argentina). Noble Inns Jackson House turned out to be the best choice! Upon Arrival we really did not know what to expect. However it was like returning Home. A beautiful 1 story traditional house with a lovely front garden with fountain and porch way were you can sit and relax.
We were all on the top floor where each room is a different shape and design. Very spacious with large comfortable beds and traditional free standing baths and showers. I had been traveling for 2 weeks prior and it was the most comfortable stay out of all the 5 star hotels.
Out the back there is a lovely little stained glass covered dip pool with areas to sit and relax.
The owners are all very polite and friendly and they leave you to your own devices with clear instructions on what to do, where to go and eat etc. The neighborhood is beautiful, with scattered bars and restaurants to go and explore. I would opt for eating breakfast out as there are endless choices..
All in all, not one complaint!

My daughters and I enjoyed a great time in 2 bedrooms at Jackson Inn in Feb. The rooms were spacious and had fireplaces and claw foot tubs. We plan to do it again. Thanks Jackson in for the great food and hospitallity. We loved it.

This was our second time staying in a Noble Inns property. This first was in the Oge House and this time in The Jackson House. Both are fantastic properties that have been restored impecibly. The King William neighborhood is very convenient to all of downtowns tourist sites but allows you to get away from the crowds. It is also right next to the upcoming "South Town" area that has some of the newest trendy restaurants. Would highly recommend. My wife and I will be back.

My brothers and I, along with our wives, spent a recent weekend at the Jackson House. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners and staff couldn't have been nicer and anything that we asked for was provided. We also enjoyed the fact that we were provided privacy while being served. Our rooms were upstairs and since there were three couples, we were the only guests upstairs. Our rooms were comfortable and had the additional amenity of a gas burning fire place the provided both warmth and atmosphere.

I would be completely remiss if I did not mention the fabulous breakfast we received each morning. I highly recommend the poached pears.

Room Tip: The bedroom on the west side of the up stairs area is a larger bedroom.

Ever since we discovered Noble Inns, we always stay at the Jackson House or Oge House when we visit San Antonio. Although the Oge House is more opulent, I prefer the Jackson House with its charming, cozy rooms, each with a gas-burning fireplace. My favorite room, number 5, has a comfy window seat nook that's great for curling up with a book after a day of touring. Both places provide homemade cookies and beverages in the afternoon.

The location is great, right on the edge of the historic King William district. If you like historic homes, you can take a self-guided walking tour that begins about a block from the inn or you can tour one of the homes that is open to the public. The Jackson House is also within a few blocks of the River Walk and a short walk from several good neighborhood restaurants. (My favorites are Azuca for dinner and Madhatter for lunch.) The innkeeper provides a list and map of these restaurants and access to their menus and those of many other San Antonio restaurants.
