We stayed at the Jackson House for four days; the value for this great location can't be beat. We we were able to explore most all of downtown by walking from B and B. The service was excellent and breakfasts and snacks very good. We would return here any time.

We stayed at Jackson House in May 2013 for two nights. Our second floor room was quite comfortable and inviting. Room has reading nook and gas fireplace.

We enjoyed being in the King William historic district for its charm and architecturally interesting character, and nearness to transportation, dining, and the Riverwalk.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ceiling slanted in places, though we did not mind this.

My fiance and I simply wanted to get away and have a romantic weekend on the River Walk in San Antonio, Texas. We chose this hotel based on the reviews on BedandBreakfast.com and I am so glad we did. The great experience began when I called the hotel to make my reservation. The lady on the phone was very helpful and cheerful, and laid out our room options. I chose to stay in a Queen Suite with sitting room and jacuzzi tub in the Jackson House.

When we arrived we were very happy to find free off street parking for guests and the check-in process was quick and easy. The room was very lovely with antique furnishings, hard wood floors, and ceiling fans. The sitting room had two comfortable chairs in front of a functional fireplace, and the bathroom had a large two person jettet bath tub. Nice touches included complimentary Brandy, Port, and cookies in the common area.

We decided to go down the River Walk for dinner, and the lady at the house was happy to give us walking directions to the closest drop-down. Which was literally 3 minutes away at a very leisurly stroll. The drop-down was at another of the Noble Inn properties called the Oge House, which looked absolutely gorgeous from the outside. So nice, in fact, my fiance and I discussed using the Inn for our wedding this fall.

The drop-down to the River Walk was not right in the middle of the tourist area, which we really enjoyed. We walked down the River Walk and even got to see some live music, for free, at the stage in La Villita. Walking back around 9 PM we both felt safe and comfortable.

We had a great night and the next morning we had breakfast in the common area of the inn. There was plenty of coffee and tea available for us as early as we wanted, including both a Keurig and a normal coffee pot, which was nice and gave us a wide choice of morning beverages. Breakfast was two courses and very delicious and filling, and they even provided me with vegitarian breakfast sausage because I do not eat meat. My fiance, on the other hand, had real meat sausage.

The inn was very beautiful and accomodating and it gave us exactly what we were looking for; a romantic night in downtown San Antonio to escape for a little while.

Our two-night stay at the Jackson House was a delightful getaway. Our hostess, Deandra, greeted us when we arrived and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, answer our many questions, and make sure we had everything we needed. This was in addition to her many extra duties during Fiesta and the King William Fair and Parade. Our luxurious room was spotless and very well-appointed. The breakfasts were top-notch, creative, and delicious. The large, immaculate Jacuzzi pool in the garden was a very welcome bonus. We were delighted to find such a jewel of a home in such a beautiful, historic, and convenient neighborhood. We walked everywhere, and didn't need to move the car all weekend! We will definitely be back at every opportunity.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room #1, which is a good choice if you come and go a lot, as we did. It is right next...

We stayed at the Jackson house for 2 nights. Neighborhood was unkept and rundown, but charming. Breakfast was not great, not too much effort put in. The house needed repairs and painting, and not maintained properly. Pool was nice

Host very helpful and nice, but would not stay there again.

We stayed here the nights of March 25 & 26, 2013

This is a very good B&B, in a great location. It is an easy walk to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. Of almost equal importance, it is situated in the King William District of San Antonio, where very many of the mansions of older days are, either completely restored on under renovation. It's a great neighborhood for a stroll.

Jackson House itself is one of those restored homes. There is a photo album in the parlor of the entire renovation process.

We were pleased that the innkeeper was present. The rest of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Among other things, we were given excellent dining recommendations.

Our first floor room was the one less than ideal element of our stay, being somewhat dark and musty. It did not have a patio, but we were right next to the front porch of the house, so this was barely a problem.

I rarely give a 5 rating, because I think a property needs to be close to perfect to get one. But on a scale of 10, I would rank the Inn a solid 9, and I would highly recommend it.
