“Charming Visit”
Reviewed 4 June 2013

My husband and I spent this past weekend at The Jackson House and had a fabulous time. We stayed there by accident as we were initially looking for a downtown hotel to coincide with the George Strait concert. Every last room was booked and then I discovered this place through Trip Advisor. We made a reservation and trusted that we would have a great experience, which I can say our expectations were exceeded.

As local San Antonians looking for a memorable staycation, we felt that all of the Noble Inns captured the King William grandeur and were well representative of the oldest historic neighborhood in Texas. The decor was definitely period, but cozy and warm. We loved our room (#3) and loved that it had a nice jacuzzi tub and was conveniently located near the pool.

My advice would be to disregard the negative reviews about the staff, I thought they were extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. Especially Deandra - she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and tell us about the area. By the end of our two-night stay, I felt like we were friends! We will definitely be returning to Noble Inns!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much at the Jackson House. We have an old house ourselves that we renovated, so we are comfortable with the "imperfections" that are inherent in older homes. Part of the charm for us. The location is really nice - accessible to just about everything downtown. Our suite downstairs was very comfortable, with a full bath, and fan over the bed. Service was great, breakfast lovely, other guests warm and friendly. It was very much like staying with a favorite grandparent - the warm patina of age, cozy rooms with cherished belongings, rocking chairs on the porch. Just the prescription to reduce stress and lower blood pressure. This is the desired experience of a B&B stay - and this you will enjoy at the Jackson House!

The Noble Inns, The Jackson house is a wonderful place to stay when you are in San Antonio, TX. My mom & I have been a couple of times, and we enjoy every minute of it. The only complaint we have is that WE dont have enough time to spend there! The area is one of our favorites areas of SA. We absolutely LOVE the King William District. we often just enjoy walking around the neighborhood and looking at the awesome houses, the little restaurants in the neighborhood are so quaint and we like to frequent them as well. The Inn keepers and owners are always so friendly and accommodating. We keep odd hours as we come for the Spurs basketball games and come in very late and cant make it so early to breakfast. They are kind enough to have breakfast for us, when we can (later), or if they cant wait for us, they even leave us wonderful selections is the dining room frig and allow us to help ourselves. Most places just give you a specific time and if you miss it, too bad. The house is gorgeous, the rooms are so nice and quaint, we love the claw foot bath tub in our favorite room. The bathroom is nice and big, there is a sitting area in our room, and a fire place. We prefer a king size bed, so you can look at each room, and find what works best for you. The breakfast is delicious and they always make sure to ask if you have any food restrictions. There are usually fresh baked cookies there for the guests and coffee, lemonade, and i think even some wine. There is a gorgeous little swimming pool that is enclosed with beautiful stain glass windows. The water was heated in the winter and the guest we saw in there said it was heavenly. (wish we had had more time to use it as well!) there is a sitting area outside behind the pool house and we enjoyed sitting there for some pics and conversation. we also enjoyed sitting on the front porch one night, after the Spurs game. what can i say, we just LOVE it there! cant wait to return again! i can go on and on but dont know how many characters i can type on here. we love this place, come try it for yourself! we will be back there soon!

Ambiance and personalized service are the qualities which make a B&B preferable to an antiseptic hotel. The Jackson House provided a large comfortable room, en suite bath, and
a nice selection of treats in the parlor. They provide a very helpful list of near-by restaurants,
and the breakfasts are excellent. If you don't mind a flight of stairs and an unfathomable television service, this is a very nice travel experience.

We stayed at the Jackson House for four days; the value for this great location can't be beat. We we were able to explore most all of downtown by walking from B and B. The service was excellent and breakfasts and snacks very good. We would return here any time.

We stayed at Jackson House in May 2013 for two nights. Our second floor room was quite comfortable and inviting. Room has reading nook and gas fireplace.

We enjoyed being in the King William historic district for its charm and architecturally interesting character, and nearness to transportation, dining, and the Riverwalk.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ceiling slanted in places, though we did not mind this.

My fiance and I simply wanted to get away and have a romantic weekend on the River Walk in San Antonio, Texas. We chose this hotel based on the reviews on BedandBreakfast.com and I am so glad we did. The great experience began when I called the hotel to make my reservation. The lady on the phone was very helpful and cheerful, and laid out our room options. I chose to stay in a Queen Suite with sitting room and jacuzzi tub in the Jackson House.

When we arrived we were very happy to find free off street parking for guests and the check-in process was quick and easy. The room was very lovely with antique furnishings, hard wood floors, and ceiling fans. The sitting room had two comfortable chairs in front of a functional fireplace, and the bathroom had a large two person jettet bath tub. Nice touches included complimentary Brandy, Port, and cookies in the common area.

We decided to go down the River Walk for dinner, and the lady at the house was happy to give us walking directions to the closest drop-down. Which was literally 3 minutes away at a very leisurly stroll. The drop-down was at another of the Noble Inn properties called the Oge House, which looked absolutely gorgeous from the outside. So nice, in fact, my fiance and I discussed using the Inn for our wedding this fall.

The drop-down to the River Walk was not right in the middle of the tourist area, which we really enjoyed. We walked down the River Walk and even got to see some live music, for free, at the stage in La Villita. Walking back around 9 PM we both felt safe and comfortable.

We had a great night and the next morning we had breakfast in the common area of the inn. There was plenty of coffee and tea available for us as early as we wanted, including both a Keurig and a normal coffee pot, which was nice and gave us a wide choice of morning beverages. Breakfast was two courses and very delicious and filling, and they even provided me with vegitarian breakfast sausage because I do not eat meat. My fiance, on the other hand, had real meat sausage.

The inn was very beautiful and accomodating and it gave us exactly what we were looking for; a romantic night in downtown San Antonio to escape for a little while.
