Great location right on the Riverwalk, our room overlooked the river. Large room, king bed, small balcony, nice little Starbucks coffee cafe inside. Price was very reasonable, great restaurants all around. Staff very pleasant and willing to assist, especially the security guard. Pricey valet at $27 a night for your car. Overall, good experience, would come back to this place.

It is indeed difficult to imagine how the staff could possibly be more accomodating without being servile. It is indeed rare to experience such warm interactions with absolutely each employee with whom we had contact. We might surmise that this attitude is predicated by enlightened management. We would not hestitate vto book a return visit.

Room Tip: West facing command view of the Riverwalk

The room is impressive decor wise. However, we were given a room next to the elevator and it was terrible. It was so difficult to sleep since we could hear the elevator going up or down. It is as if we were next door to the airport.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view overlooking the river.

My wife and I stayed one night for a quick trip in February. The hotel location is very good. The room was nice, but both of us had a terrible time sleeping on the bed. I think the mattress was too soft and the pillows were too soft, also. We tossed and turned all night. Other than that it seems like a nice place to stay. We did not use any of the hotel's services, so I can't really comment on those. Sorry for the brief review, but that's what sticks out in our mind. Probably would not stay here again, because of it.

We have stayed here mutiple times and always have a blast! We have three children (ages 13, 10 and 5) and they love this place. With a family of 5 you tend to make due in the bed situation, we order a roll away bed each time so one of the kiddos can sleep there. They don't mind, it fits right by balcony sliding glass door where they can look out at the city.
Definitely ask for a room with a view of the Riverwalk, there is no other way to stay at this hotel. We have always had a room overlooking and we are there for the St. Patrick's Day festivities that happen about the 2nd week of March. They turn the River green and even from our balcony we watch the Irish dancers on the boats and listen to the music. You are in the middle of everything you need! PS: there is a CVS on the Riverwalk if you realize you left anything at home. Amazing food nearby, all within walking distance. Avoid the crowds and eat early, the lines that form at Riverwalk restaurants can be horrible and with kids, I would not reccommend it. The beds are extrmemly comfortable, plenty feather pillows available, super clean room, very nice staff. If you do have children, walk the Riverwalk in the early afternoon or evening and make oyur way all the way to the end, an outdoor play area awaits. Not the plastic germ infested kind. A wooded wonderland. There is also a lilttle lemonade cart. Amazing. Explore, you won't regret it. We even found a mama duck and her abies on one of our explorations. Take the boat tour too! You might feel too touristy but do it anyway, it's always great. It is nice to come back to after a day at Sea World.
Best thing about Marriott Riverwalk? 2 things.
The breakfast! Hands down. We love it. The kids get their omlets made to order or the buffet. Great coffee and a wonderful staff in the restaurant. My youngest son and I went down for an early dinner one night while my husband took the big kids out, they truly catered to him and made him feel speacial. The chef came out and gave him a hat and doted on him.
Second thing is the indoor heated pool area! This an amazingly beautiful place with a huge area on around the 10th floor (can not remember exact floor). Pool is amazing, half indoor, half out. Gorgeous views of the city. A ping pong table we love to take advantage of, a beautiful fitness center on the same floor. Plenty of seating and clean, plush towels at the ready. Bring your bathing suit!
Really love this place. Always ask what they can do for you. Discounted valet? Breakfast for adults included? They are usually accommadating.

I stayed here for business in Feb. 2012. Company picked up the cost of the hotel room, but I felt that the rate could be slightly high. That said, this hotel is fantastic. It is so close to a huge mall, within walking distance of the Alamo and RIGHT on the riverwalk. Finding something to do in my down time was never a problem! I will be returning here in a few weeks w/ my spouse for a quick vacation!

Room Tip: 17th floor- very quiet!

We stayed here while on a family vacation to San Antonio. It's located right on the riverwalk and offered a great view. It's right across from a huge mall if you enjoy shopping. It's not too far of a walk to the Alamo and other attractions. It's also not very far from Sea World.
Overall it was a great place to stay. I would definitely recommend to others.
