Pros:
-There is a Starbucks in the lobby. That's a convenience for a fast coffee and breakfast on the go.
-The rooms are recently renovated and are very nice. The design is coming and trendy.
-The beds are very comfortable.
-The front desk staff is friendly.
-The cleaning staff did a great job and was friendly.
-The location is ideal for a convention at the convention center. It was so nice to walk right across the street.
-Easy access to the Riverwalk makes for a lot of eating options.
-Room service was delicious and the service was awesome. I ordered meals for all three meals and the food was really good.

Needs improvement:
-I was on the 12th floor and it was noisy like other reviews stated.
-Wi fi was only free if you signed up for their Rewards Program. It's 2016 so it's strange it wouldn't be included in the steep price.
-Parking is not super convenient as it's located across the street at the other Marriot. I think there should be a discount since it's not attached to the hotel.

Room tip: Bring a fan or download a white noise app to block out noise while you sleep so you don't hear the traffic below.

The Riverwalk is such a beautiful place to take a walk and find a new exciting restaurant. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the local music and culture. It is a must see while in San Antonio. My favorite things to do are to stop and take pictures of the water features and take the boat tour. You learn about the local history.

Dear Teri L,
Thank you for your review. I’m delighted you discovered the beauty of the River Walk and all it has to offer. It is a very unique attraction and definitely a must see, as you mentioned. The River Walk is especially dazzling during the Holidays; quite magical, in fact.

Please come again soon!

I've stayed at Marriott properties for years and was a little disappointed this time. The price/value relationship was not quite right. Considering the cost to park, having to pay for internet access, and food & beverage prices higher than other Riverwalk locations... If felt like I was being nickel and dimed to death. Will probably look elsewhere next time I'm in San Antonio.

Booked last minute via Priceline, "name your price"for $82 for Sunday night for the July 4th weekend. The hotel and room was modern, nice, and comfortable. The hotel is right on the Riverwalk so restaurants, bars, and shopping are real convenient. We avoided the $41 night valet parking charge by parking overnight in the city garage next door.

Only disappointment was the pool area was too small for holiday weekend crowd.

We arrived midweek for a one-night stay. We used the valet parking. The hotel provides access to the riverwalk and sits on the east end near the convention center. We had a king size bed, but the pillows were on the thick side. Overall, the Marriott met our needs for a friendly, clean place to stay in San Antonio (i.e., reliable Marriott option).
