“Fantastic hotel in all aspects for a great stay in San Antonio, Texas”

The total experience of the O'Brien is so superior in all ways. Everyone working at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Autumn at the front desk is such a sweet person. The manager, DeLissa Delgado, is just the best Gorgeous and spacious rooms with a large t.v., exceptional linens for the bed and bath, bottled water is supplied daily. Some rooms have a refrigerator and a claw foot bath tub. It is very centrally located to the Riverwalk(a 2 min. walk away), bus service, and other sights of San Antonio. Terrific breakfast is included in the room rate. I would highly recommend it and I would definitely stay here again.

Only a block to the River Walk, nice clean rooms with high ceilings and old world elegance for a reasonable price. The continental breakfast is marginal with no area downstairs to eat, thus you either eat on the run or take it upstairs with you to eat. The front desk staff went from mean spirited the first day to pleasant the second. The bathrooms are very small and would benefit from a sliding door so that the door doesn't have to take up half the bathroom when opened. The exercise room is actually a facility nine blocks away, thus not very functional. Other than that, this hotel is a winner.

Room Tip: Get a room off of the main street to reduce noise.

Friendly welcome and accommodation of early check-in, accommodation of request for quiet room on top floor. Hotel parking on grounds and across street for $10. Neighboring lots for a little less. Spacious double queen with desk, dresser, 27" TV. In-room fridge would be nice. Balcony with bistro table/chairs. Bath is a bit small and would benefit from curved shower curtain. Continental breakfast is just that, served in the lobby with seating on your balcony - or the second and third floor lounges. Trays provided and enough food/choices to get the motor running. Take note: this building is historic, but the hotel was constructed in its walls just ten years ago, with all modern accoutrements like elevator, A/C, etc. Leave your car at the hotel, historic district and River Walk is around the corner. Parking in down town garages or lots is much more expensive. Also, this hotel is part of Choice hotels. Check their website for rates or call the hotel directly.

Room Tip: top floor with balcony and bistro table/chairs

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Good location with only a short walk to the Riverwalk.
Rooms were quite large.
Breakfast was really nice with a lovely area on each floor to sit and eat it if you preferred to sitting in your room. Nice atmosphere. I would definitely stay again..

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We were there for a night out on the Riverwalk so the location for that was good. Only complaints is that there is not a parking garage close by and the room was pretty dark with a small bathroom. I would recommend this hotel to a traveling couple, but not a family due to the size of the bathrooms.

Some people complain about the parking. There's parking all around this hotel. Our room was great with a balconey. The trolley stops around the corner and takes you to the Alamo. The River Walk entrance is half a block from the hotel. The bathroom was small but useable. Lovely boutique hotel, and well work the price. Fresh brewed coffee in the lobby is very good. Staff very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back. A lot less road noise, also that's where the balconey is.

Hotel was in a great location, value for money. Our room was fantastic with a door onto the balcony. Continental breakfast was more than enough. Staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel is an old building but renovated. Felt like we were in a western hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that opens onto the balcony, then you are not on the main road which is very quiet an...
