Description: Duck Soup Inn is a rustic island restaurant serving Pacific Northwest cuisine. We hope to offer you a sense of place by showcasing the bounty of the islands we are blessed to call home. From local farm produce, meat and seafood, foraged edibles from land and sea, and local goods made from island crafts people, the abundance and beauty of the San Juan's is on full display. We offer you adventures in island dining through fresh, seasonal, inspired cuisine, delightful wines, and creative cocktails served in a cozy cabin in the woods. “Duck”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

The duck is the very best we have ever had! I never expected to have something made with dandelions but when we were offered dandelion ice cream how could we turn that down! It was outstanding! The food is great and the location is fun... I will eat here again.

“Beautiful atmosphere”
Reviewed 14 March 2014

The atmosphere was wonderful with a burning fireplace, gracious wait staff, and great tasting food. The wine list is quite extensive as well. Will definitely return.

Off Roche Harbor Road opposite the "Lakedale Resort", this hideaway is very romantic! The food is fantastic and locally sourced. Have always had a great meal here!

“Unique Experience”
Reviewed 14 February 2014

Out in the middle of nowhere, by island standards, is this gem of a restaurant. Don't forget to make reservations. The food is delightful, and the staff just right! It's a local place that welcomes all.

“A real treasure”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

We visited the Duck Soup Inn on a visit to San Juan Island in late August. Tucked off the main road, you can easily miss it. Reservations a must as both locals and tourists eat here. DO NOT MISS the brussel spout appetizer. We enjoyed the bowl of grilled spouts with a cocktail. Great combination. Our server was firendly and helpful navigating the menu. Casual dining but upscale menu. Pricing about the same as other restaurants on the island. This is a place to enjoy the ambiance of the island. Main dining room had a cozy cabin like feeling. Starter soup was superb. Salmon entree was outstanding (and this is after ordering salmon 6 of 7 previous nights at other venues). My wife had scallops and they too were near the top of the scale. Well worth the drive out of Friday Harbor (about 4 miles) for a restaurant that captures the essence of living in this part of the world.
