Beyond excellent customer service. Beautiful property just outside the city (you can see every star in the sky). We were there on a 3 day mini honeymoon following our wedding in Ruidoso, NM and really needed to relax. This place was perfect! The staff was extremely accommodating and attentive. We had dinner at the restaurant onsite, the patio with heat lamps was a perfect setting to enjoy the sunset, delicious food and a bottle of Elk Cove wine.

The only drawback is that if you book a room on the lower level of a 'casita' you can hear everything coming from the room upstairs. When we asked to move rooms they did immediately, without question. The bellhop that helped us with our bags to the new room told us that it was a huge problem they have been trying to alleviate and that many people have had complaints. Which led us to question why they had us in the room to begin with since the resort was relatively empty?? Definitely ask upon booking your room or else it will impact your experience.

My husband and I loved this hotel! The rooms were fabulous and the views of the sunset are breathtaking. We had excellent service in all areas of the hotel. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to town, but the hotel has a complimentary shuttle. So if you want to be in the heart of the action then this isn't the place for you. But we loved beibalance to go into town for dinner and then come back to our oasis! Most of the hotel rooms in town are tiny. The restaurant at the hotel is pretty good but I would recommend trying out some of the fabulous restaurants in town. Overall I would highly reccomend this property!

Maria from WhatAHotel.com recommended the Four Seasons Encantado - Santa Fe for a long Lavor Day weekend. WhatAHotel.com uniquely provides excellent resort amenities not elsewhere available - which made this Four Seasons actually a great price value! If you are drawn to spectacular high-desert vistas - this resort is incomparable! The accomodations are fabulous: each Suite or Casita with an unbelievable sunset view. Dining is understated & Five Star: dining room; lounge; & in-room have indigenous ingenious twists to great ingredients coupled with service as only Four Seasons can deliver. Front desk staff, housekeeping personnel & concierge embody superlative guest interactions. Tip: fly into/out of Santa Fe municipal & have the hotel use it's fleet of Benz's to transport you. They also take you right to Santa Fe's town square while providing excellent area insights.

Room Tip: Accomodations all have a sunset view &, nice touch - are equipped with Kuerig coffee/tea makers...

This hotel is lovely. The construction and finishes are top rate. My question is, can you get Four Seasons service in New Mexico? There were no towels at the pool. The pool attendant was sassy and acted as though it was not her job (it was housekeeping's failure), other staff members had an odd attitude - - it was as if we were supposed to accommodate them. The hotel was empty when we were there so I am surprised that the staff was not more accommodating to its guests.

The Four Seasons management is new so things may improve when the staff gets trained.

We have stayed at multiple Four Seasons hotels and resorts and love their management style. We have also stayed at almost every top-rated hotel in Santa Fe (over the last 20 years). Finally, we are very familiar with this property and its changes over the years. If you have never been up to this property - 20 minutes north of town - you should start by eating at the restaurant here (when the sun sets - it is magnificent). However, we would suggest you give the Four Seasons some more time to get their staffing right. Service was spotty at best and staff seemed to juggle between different duties - and it wasn't smooth. Valet parkers serving water at the restaurant. Front desk folks seating you at the restaurant. Waiters seeming to disappear. Other times, it was overkill - such as room cleaning/minibar checking/room service cleanup all happening with minutes of each other (you would think they would have coordinated on the fact that we had not left our room yet). I think Four Seasons management deserves time to get staffing right since they just acquired the contract on July 1. But this place has a long way to go to match the magic of The Inn of the Five Graces in town. Keep trying though - Santa Fe needs a little competition on the luxury end of things.

Room Tip: Get a sunset casita.

We stayed here in March of 2012 and it was just perfect. The rooms have beautiful views and were very, very clean. We ate at the bar which was wonderful and watched the snow come in over the mountains. The best part of our stay was enjoying the quiet and hearing the sounds of the coyotes at night. The fireplace is beautiful and everything was just wonderful!!! I highly recommend this hotel! It is a bit pricey but it was a great escape for city people looking to get some quiet!

We came to Santa Fe to see Tosca and stayed here on the recommendation of friends. They had been here years ago, before the renovation, and we were both pleased with the rooms, the restaurant and the amenities. It was delightfully cool (we escaped Dallas' 105 for the 90 here) and then it rained! (We liked that, since we've almost forgotten what that felt like.)
Our room had turn down service, delivery of ice at 4:30, stocked bar, tea, soft drinks, huge tub and shower plus a private patio with chairs, table and a lounge.
The hotel is a drive into Santa Fe, though we understand that the hotel has a regular run on the hour, but you'll really need a car to enjoy the history and art available in town.
Caveat: If you are a reader, bring your itty bitty book light. Our room was dark, and the bulbs had to be 25 watts. My husband needed to use my book light to see his laptop keyboard.

We loved our stay and would be glad to stay here again.

Room Tip: We were in room 29 with two double beds. Very nice (if dark). There is no parking by the front desk...
