“Lovely place to stay in Santa Fe”
Reviewed 2 April 2014 via mobile

We loved the Inn on the Alameda. From the moment we checked in everything was wonderful. I had requested hypoallergenic bedding, and it was ready for us when we arrived. The breakfast was fantastic, a great variety of hot and cold items including different types of eggs, sausages, ham, and potatoes in addition to the standard continental buffet items. The breakfast area was pretty and relaxing. The Inn is in a great location too, a block from the Canyon Road galleries, and a couple of easy walking blocks to the Plaza and most of the sights. All of the staff were wonderful...pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hot tub and fitness room were nice as well, and robes and towels were supplied. The bathroom was a touch small, but it and the room were very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in March. It was close to downtown, comfortable, quiet, nicely appointed and had a shuttle service. We would stay here again if and when we return to Santa Fe. It was close to the downtown plaza and all the shops around the square. They did a nice job with their breakfast - a number of hot dishes to choose from and well laid out.

Room Tip: We were in the most easterly building looking over the parking lot. There are some areas with court...

We appreciate your time in writing such a pleasant review. We do have a variety of rooms and yes some have direct access to our courtyards, which are very pleasant areas for evening wine and leisurely breakfast when the weather cooperates.

Happy Travels.

This past weekend, we once again stayed at our favorite place in Santa Fe, the Inn on the Alameda. We've stayed at over a half-dozen other places in Santa Fe over the years, but none match the Inn on the Alameda. The free parking, free breakfast (excellent, I might add), free wine and cheese (the wine was so good, we wrote down the name of the winery), and the proximity to both the Plaza and Canyon Road, make this place our #1 place to stay in Santa Fe.

We stayed in one of the larger Suites, and the extra space really does make a difference, along with the gas fireplace, and deck.

The staff is great and they really take care of the Customer. I highly recommend the "Inn on the Alameda", in Santa Fe.

Room Tip: The extra space in the Suites is well worth the added expense.

Every thing was great! New car service was so helpful . The young woman who gave me a ride to a bakery was so gracious , even if I got us lost and did not have my info correct! She was the best !
The bar tender at happy hour was so incredibly kind and professional . He has the best manors and such a giant heart. Cheers!

Breakfast ladies could not be better ! Wonderful food and they made me the best latte!

I am so happy to hear about your experience here at the Inn, Glenwoodsprings is certainly a town that understands benefits of creating a great guest experience so it is nice to know we were able to please. It is also especially nice when guests reference a one of our staff in particular, I will certainly let our bartender know of your kind words.

Hope to see you back at the Inn soon.

This is a nice hotel very convenient to old downtown Santa Fe. The property sprawls over several buildings but it still has an intimate feel. We stayed in one of the junior suites that had a private front and rear entrance. While we were very close to the road, a high wall surrounding our building kept the road noise down. The room was exceptionally clean and nicely appointed. A coffee maker and fridge were provided; however, it would've been nice to have a microwave.
We did use the outdoor hot tub one evening ... very pleasant and relaxing.

In all, we were very happy with our stay...

Thank you for taking time to write such a nice review and especially for mentioning that traffice noise was not an issue, while Santa Fe is still a small town we are in the downtown area and guests often inquire about traffic noise.

Happy Travels.

I have traveled to Santa Fe for over 30 years and the Inn at the Alameda beats all other hotels. Free parking, free breakfast, free wine and cheese, great rooms, and a great location adjacent to Canyon Road and the plaza. The hot tubs are great at night with unbeatable views of the stars. The staff (from the owner to the bartender) are helpful, interested and interesting. Daily fires in the communal rooms are real treats and a great way to learn about activities that other guests have discovered. One can sit quietly by the fire sipping a cup of coffee or wine, cuddle with one's partner, or talk to other people...your choice. I'll be back for sure.

Room Tip: All rooms are great and the communal dining room/living area is delightful. I spent much time in th...

So glad to hear that we met all your expectations, so it should be no surprise that Santa Fe is in the running for Best Girls Getaway on the Readers Choice, Travel and Leisure Contest.

I hope you will cast your vote

This inn has a wide swing of room levels. The first room we were assigned did not meet our expectations. It was tiny and dark, with cheap furnishings. When we returned to the desk and asked if there were better rooms available, they upgraded us (for a reasonable fee) to a suite. The suite was lovely, with a kiva fireplace.
As noted by other reviewers, the breakfast was great, and we enjoyed the short walk to the shops and restaurants of the plaza.
