We have been going to Vanessie for a number of years even back when it was the Water Street Inn. We've stayed in several different rooms, but most often in Tesuque, which is very spacious. The bed is very comfortable once you can climb into it but I asked for a step stool, which made a big difference. I believe they need to do some TLC to the bathroom, especially the shower and vanity. Mary Ann is wonderful and willing to provide whatever she can to make your stay pleasant. We love the piano bar and Doug Montgomery is amazing. The food is good, but they can use some more help in both the restaurant and the bar. I agree with another reviewer that the breakfast menu could use a little more variety, but my husband and friend both loved the yoghurt and fruit. The location is excellent and it's very easy to walk to the Plaza, so it's perfect for visiting Indian Market.

Room Tip: We have mostly stayed in Tesuque and really like it. It has a garden room and a patio with a founta...

This inn was perfect for what we were looking for! Mary Ann was wonderful! Very kind, friendly and accommodating! She welcomed us every morning to breakfast and asked us how our stay was going, if we needed anything or suggestions on things to do for the day! We are so thankful to her for making our first-time visit to Santa Fe a memorable one! Room was cozy with the closed and open patios! Also, it was quiet! We completely forgot about the piano bar being right next door! Never heard it. Only change we would have made would be the creeky bed. Bed was comfortable but the box spring creeked a bit. No biggie though! We will be back here next year!

Wonderful experience from check in to check out. Very quiet area but close enough to Plaza to walk comfortably. Staff was exceptional, especially Mary Ann, who was always friendly, pleasant and willing to answer questions. She epitomized customer service and seemed to be everywhere taking care of everything...always with a smile.
The room was extremely comfortable, beds were fabulous, linens soft, air conditioner quiet...we slept like babies. Enjoyed the hot tub...very clean and easy to get to. Breakfast was in a lovely, sun-drenched room. Food was very good with several choices from granola, yogurt & fresh fruit to eggs, omelets, multiple bread options, wonderful coffee, fresh juice...etc. The piano bar at Vanessie was an unexpected plus....nice way to unwind and enjoy dinner and drinks. Very talented artist and beautiful decor. Everything is in close proximity so it was very nice to be able to step out your door and go to the piano bar, breakfast, hot tub or the office. We will definitely go back!

Lovely boutique Inn away from the Plaza. Beautifully decorated rooms - each one different. Lots of water features on the property too. Breakfast provided in the airy Vanessie Restaurant. Omelete (or scrambled eggs), fruit/yoghurt/granola, juice and coffee or tea. My only recommendation is that the breakfast could be improved with more options and higher quality products.

This is a very lovely hotel. It reminded us of a small European hotel. Rooms were very cozy. The location is great because you are only a few blocks from the Plaza, but in a quiet neighborhood so you don't have all the traffic and noise. The piano bar was an especially nice treat. The 2 performers were very talented and entertaining. Breakfast is continental, but very filling.

Room Tip: Not sure of what rooms to recommend, but they are all on the ground level. We stayed in the Atalaya...

This B&B was only three blocks away from the Plaza. We stayed for 4 nights and had a relaxing stay. Enjoyed a nice complimentary breakfast and enjoyed some very good piano bar type entertainment with Doug Montgomery. Parking is tough, but where isn't it in the Plaza area. We had a parking spot at the Inn each night, only difficulty was remembering where the driveway was.

We had a great experience from start to finish. We had never been to Santa Fe and the man who helped with our reservation to the time to describe each room available to fine the perfect fit. Room 8 was perfect. Romantic, quiet, perfectly appointed, beams in the ceilings and an incredibly comfortable bed. The inn keeper was helpful in giving sightseeing advice and then escorted us to our room and showed us the amenities of the property. Breakfast was perfect and we were greeted at the door and asked for our egg order which arrived quickly and was delicious. Great location with a short walk to everyplace downtown. Excellent stay.
