We stayed for three nights while visiting our daughter. It's a great little boutique inn, very much in the pueblo architecture of Santa Fe. The hosts were very gracious and put out a nice morning spread which included fresh bagels, granola, fruit, jiuces, coffees and a good selection of teas. Our room (10) was clean, but a little worn around the edges. The bathroom door would not close, which as an annoyance. The linens, particularly sheets and pillow cases, should have been replaced long ago. Other than that the bed was comfy enough. Definitely a budget traveler hotel but a nice atmosphere.

Booked when they were advertising Margaritas at afternoon tea. Got there and it was punch. Every afternoon the same thing - store bought bag of chips, jar of salsa, and a melon. Breakfast was meatless and heatless. Frozen french toast for the toaster, bagels, chopped fruit. No extra effort for things like a breakfast casserole. Nothing appeared to be home made.
Bathroom was TINY!! Never have I seen such small bathtub/shower and commode.

Pueblo Bonito has served guests complimentary margaritas, wine, lemonde, tea, chips & salsa for "tea time" for several years. I feel I must explain your statement above: On April 4, 2011 we received notication that NM liquor laws changed and no longer allow b&b's or galleries to offer complimenary alcohol to guests without a license. Penalty: 3rd degree felony for establishment & fine; 3rd degree felony for guest who consumes non-licensed establishment provided alcohol. These licenses ranges from $350,000-$400,000- not a "reasonably priced" option for us. This license also requires an establishment to operate a full-service restaurant or bar (have specific serving hours)- we prefer a quainter, quieter, more intimate b&b setting in historic downtown Santa Fe. FYI:This applies to the entire state of NM- not Santa Fe. We immediately switched out our margaritas to a crisp, tasty cranberry/pinapple sparkling punch (a Behm family recipe) and added oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to our tea fare. Thankfully it has been well received by our guests. We felt we had no choice in making this abrupt change- we needed to protect our guests and ourselves. Marketing effort of complimentary margaritas were changed as quickly as possible too. There still exists rave reviews of Pueblo Bonito which mention "margaritas" as well as delightful breakfast offerings- for these we do not wish to change. Our sincerely appologize for your disappointment, as this happened so quickly, but again, this situation was slightly out of our hands with the exception of how we reacted to it. Upholding the law and protecting our guests required an immediate change. We still offer a memorable first hand "real Santa Fe experience" in a 150+ yr old historic adobe pueblo-style compound in the heart of the "city different".

There is so much to like about Pueblo Bonito: real adobe, not fauxdobe; great people, convenient location. And all of these 3s and 4s should be 5s, but . . . . Here are the problems: the breakfasts offer quantity, but not quality; the bed we had needs to be retired; there is a need for some refurbishment, including replacing the old Rte. 66 motel bathroom fixtures. I wish I could give Pueblo Bonito a higher rating, but I want to give an honest impression to other readers. Both the bed and the breakfast let us down, and isn't that what B&Bs are supposed to be about?

Glad you enjoyed a few unique qualities of Pueblo Bonito- historic adobe pueblo-style compound, our convenient , quiet downtown location and the personalized attentive service we give to our guests. However we are sorry we "missed the mark" in other ways for you. We serve thousands of Santa Fe visitors each year and we realize we're not going to the perfect place for 100% of our guests- but we do try out best. We consistently rate 4's & 5's by most of our guests (see reviews). I'd say we have a 98% success rate. Your comments are considered constructive and we sincerely appreciate them. However, on our defense we have an impressive breakfast fare which has been positively reviewed by many guests in prior months as has the comfort of beds- check 'em out! We do not have a commercial kitchen, so possibly your expectations fell short due of this? A few of our most popular beakfast items include: cream cheese crumb coffee cake, raspberry preserves, everything bagels, salmon smear, cinnamon swirl french toast, raisen-cinnamon bread, almond-raisen granola, fresh juicy grapefruit (from my families backyard in Arizona), 19 varities varities of tea and of course - our coffee! Again, we understand we will never be able to please everyone- no matter how hard we strive- but we score high marks with most of our guests. Thank you for trying us out and we wish you the very best in the future.

Stayed here per a friends recommendation and was not disappointed. The charming historic adobe rooms are pleasant and functional for the age. Well maintained. Just a short pleasant walk to the plaza and other in town sites. Breakfast was standard continental fare. Inn keepers are extremely helpful, providing guests with insights and advice on places to see and things to do. I am not sure why housekeeping came at nine AM, however....seems a bit early to chase someone out of their room! Overall an excellent choice.

Our family felt right at home in this B&B. The rooms were furnished very nice and we loved the wood burning fireplace. The location was perfect and not very far to walk to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed information too and I would recommend this place if you are looking for something different than a chain hotel.

When traveling with family out of town, we know how important and difficult it can be to make everyone happy and comfortable. We are thrilled that we met that challenge successfully for all of you and that the overall feeling of "home" was achieved for your family. This is a huge compliment to us and to our staff which we sincerely appreciate. Thank you for giving the opportunity to serve you while in Santa Fe and we invite you back anytime.

You really get the feel of old Santa Fe at this B&B. The kiva firelace added ambiance to chilly evenings and the rustic furniture rounded off the whole experience. Location was great!! You could walk to most of the major attractions &
great restaurants in town. Hosts were most helpful with maps and recomendations.
Loved Santa Fe and would return to PUEBLO BONITO.

This was our second stay at Pueblo Bonito and we recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Santa Fe. Hosts Amy and Herb are cheerful and helpful, rooms are nicely decorated in Southwest style. Buffet breakfasts are lavish, there are lovely places to sit outdoors, and downtown is a short walk away.
