“Lovely B & B, helpful, friendly staff and owner.”
Reviewed 7 August 2013

We were greeted with a warm Santa Fe smile by staff members each day. The room was clean and beautiful. Our room had a small kitchen area so we used the stove to prepare veggies we purchased at the farmer's market. When we return (soon!) we hope to utilize the kitchen more often than we did the first stay. The location is within a short walk to the historic and shopping district. All the staff members were familiar with the area and could help with daily outings. The breakfast buffet was tasty with a variety of foods, including seasonal fruit. I highly recommend this lovely B & B.

We truly do appreciate your recommendation, Kathy. So glad to know you appreciated the amenities in your suite and found it to be comfortable, clean and "beautiful"! There are plenty of great places to eat in Santa Fe, but our Farmers Market is truly a treat! I love frequenting it on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings as well.

A stay with us is also beneficial since you're so close to everything Santa Fe has to offer. Just a short walk to the plaza and a number of wonderful attractions, and of course we're here to offer suggestions or recommendations if you need them.

With a breakfast starting your day off strong, we do everything we can to make your trip to Santa Fe a memorable one. Happy to host you anytime; come back and visit soon!

All the best,

Enjoyed the 2 night stay immensely. Great staff that is always helpful & cheerful. They will help you know what, where, how to see Santa Fe. The Zia room was super! Great A/C, easy access to a semi-private deck on 2d level. The adobe compound is a history spot with great beauty and a treasure worth staying in. Breakfast was simple and plentiful. Truly starts your day off in a manner worth repeating. You will have wished for an extra night stay after enjoying the entire place and its people. Easy walking to the Plaza and the accompanying parking with your stay is a $$ savings of magnitude. You can't go wrong with Pueblo Bonito; order the red & green tamales which will be waiting in your room. WOW, they're great! This is the way to experience Santa Fe and the Southwest.

Room Tip: Loved the Zia room on 2d level with semi-private deck with its outdoor table & chairs; night dec...

WOW, indeed—thank you so much for a lovely review! It was great hosting you for a couple nights, and I'm happy you enjoyed our Zia room. It certainly is a good representation of any of our 10 regular queen rooms. Each has a private bath, air conditioning for summer and kiva fireplace in those cold months yet to come!

You won't go hungry staying with us, that's for sure. We know there's lots to do in Santa Fe, and we want to make sure you're fueled and ready to go. Glad you took advantage of our breakfast, and great call on ordering the tamales. I agree they are delicious.

I hope you got to cross off everything you wanted to see on your checklist. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of Santa Fe, but ultimately you'll decide everything you want to check out. And if there was anything you missed, you'll just have to come back and visit us again soon!

Thanks so much,

My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay at Pueblo Bonito. The room looked exactly as it did in the photos. We would definitely stay again. The Inn has history and lots of character. It was quiet and clean. The staff were very warm, helpful and friendly . We enjoyed the buffet breakfast with it's great variety - fresh fruit, bagels, English muffins, eggs, oatmeal, yogurt - just to name a few items.

Thank you so much for a lovely review! We certainly do have quite a bit of history here at Pueblo Bonito Inn, and each room oozes with its own unique character. Of course, the main reason people come to Santa Fe is to see the great sights of the city, and we're just a short walk away from all the attractions you can think of. And we get you started off right with a hearty breakfast—glad you took advantage of it and enjoyed it!

We always appreciate when guests leave their thoughts about their stay. It helps us make things even better in the future, and it's useful for those considering a stay with us. Thanks again, and please let us know if you're ever back in town!

Sincerely,

This bed and breakfast is a small complex of rooms built in the traditional adobe style which makes it a unique place to stay, with the feel of local architecture. It is in walking distance of the Farmer's Market and Plaza area which is really convenient since parking is at a premium in both of these places.

The rooms vary a lot in size and amenities. We stayed in the Comanche suite with a bedroom, separate living room with a queen sized futon for our teen daughter, and a very basic kitchenette. The room was clean and quiet. The only thing we would have changed was that the bedroom had no windows that opened so it was stuffy when we closed our door. The sitting area has both the windows and air conditioner. With nights in the 50s it would have been nice to have an open window in the bedroom.

We appreciated that we could get up early and sit in the Inn's lovely courtyard while our daughter slept in.

The Innkeepers are very friendly and make guests feel right at home. They helped many guests with plans for the day in and around Santa Fe. We enjoyed talked with them each morning.

Breakfast is a self-serve continental spread that had ample choices, though nothing hot except instant oatmeal. There is plenty to have a filling start to the day. Breakfast isn't served until 8 am and no coffee is available before that which is late when you're still on East Coast time. We had excellent coffee at the Farmer's Market one morning.

We liked this bed and breakfast a lot and felt the price for the suite was very reasonable for Santa Fe. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you very much for your review! I'm quite happy you enjoyed your stay. It certainly does make things easy when you're just a short walk from so many downtown attractions! And don't worry about the limited downtown parking, since you can park right here at the inn for free!

Of course, not everyone is as well-versed in all Santa Fe has to offer, so we're always happy to offer our suggestions. After 28 years of Innkeeping and personally growing up in Santa Fe, I feel our staff is the most knowledgeable concierge in the city! We want you to feel welcome here, and we'll answer any questions or concerns you may have. And your day can get off to a great start if you take advantage of our breakfast, which is also included with the room. Coffee set ups are in every room for those early rising guests to prepare for themselves regardless of which coast you come to us from!

I do apologize if you found your bedroom "stuffy". Possibly the box fan (provided and conveniently stored in each rooms' closet) could have been used to create additional air movement sought after closing door from area which housed the air conditiong unit. That's not typical of every room, but like you said, each one is unique. Normally, the air circulates very well, and I'm sorry if that wasn't the case.

We really do appreciate reading the reviews we get. Not only is it extremely helpful to us as owner, it's also great for guests considering a stay at Pueblo Bonito Inn. Thanks again for taking the time to leave your thoughts, and please let us know the next time you're in Santa Fe. We'd love to host you!

Best,

This was the second time that we have stayed here and were not disappointed again. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff has always been professional and knowledgeable of the area and events happening in the Santa Fe area. Love like this place because of its easy walk to the Plaza and to the other parts of town. The breakfast is plentiful and good and a USA Today or the local Santa Fe paper is always there to enjoy. I know for sure we will return to Pueblo Bonito in the future.

We love our repeat customers! We're glad to know your second visit was just as relaxing as the first! Thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts. It's always our pleasure to help you make the most of your trip, regardless of the number of visits you've made to Santa Fe! We've been here for nearly 30 years, so we certainly do know our city well!

Of course, it's easy to see the sights when you're so close to them, and that's a great benefit of Pueblo Bonito Inn. You're just a short walk away from the Plaza, Canyon Road, and a host of incredible museums and attractions. With a filling breakfast (complimentary, I may add!) in your tummy, you're ready to hit the town running.

You're always welcome back here. Thanks again for leaving a review. We'll see you the next time you're in town!

Christine,

We're so glad you had a wonderful first visit to Santa Fe and we had the opportunity to create a helpful, safe environment for you. Traveling alone can be intimidating, but with our intimate, secluded adobe compound located so close to all the sites, it's easy to have a great experience! Santa Fe is a wonderful place, isn't it? Hopefully you got to see all the sights on your checklist.

Our goal while you stay with us is to make you feel comfortable and safe, so it's wonderful to hear we achieved that. Let us know the next time you're in town—we'd love to host you again!

We stayed five days at Pueblo Bonita BNB in July and Herb and Amy treated with warmth and loving hospitality. Especially when my wife was ill one day and Herb just made sure that she was well taken care of. Amy was there every morning with a bright smile and a warm greeting. Breakfast, while a continental style, was sumptuous, healthy, and contained a wide variety of delectable choices. We can only highly recommend this BNB and would be glad to stay again.
