Carlos gave us a tour of several restaurants. We has a lot of fun trying different restaurants, learning about the history of the area and tasting local cuisine. I would highly recommend this tour. Carlos is a people person and made it worthwhile.

Carlos was wonderful but we would not recommend your tour. $125 was much too expensive for what we had when your very high end foodie choices were not our preference.
There was nothing on the menu that I would have chosen to eat and the portions except for the mushrooms and dessert were tiny. I personally don't care how awarded the chefs were for their creations but I would never order pork bellies. The two tiny bites that I got after taking the fat off was tasty but too little to be memorable. The inch cube of a 35 hour prepared short ribs was also fine. The ahi tacos were tasty and I stole my brother's (he and his wife refused them) because I was still hungry. We never saw portions the size of those in the picture on your web site.
Half the wines were too sweet and the portions were sooooooo tiny. The dessert, while tasty, was the other end of the spectrum from gourmet - strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar! Here is where a bite of a wonderful dessert would have left us on a high note.
We are from CA and NY and we have experienced many fine dinners and wine and food tours but this left us very disappointed.
Wonderful way to eat and learn about food preparation beyond common meals. All was good and love to do it again next trip
Had a TON of fun on a leisurely 2.5 hour lunch tour of downtown Santa Fe. As others have written, Carlos is an outstanding culinary ambassador for the city. As a former (and probably future) chef in Santa Fe, he explained each stop's cuisine in detail. I had the good fortune of having a few foodies along who got into discussion of the "whys" of flavor profiles with Carlos as I slurped down my enchiladas, black beans, chili, pizza, etc. Toss in a visit to a surprisingly interesting olive oil store and some of the local landmarks and you have a great introduction to the area. Hats off again to Carlos, who arranged an impromptu margarita tasting as well as tweaking the menu for one individual who had lactose-intolerance issues. Lots and lots of information during our stroll that seemed like minutes instead of hours.
Reserved the Taste of Santa Fe Lunch Tour with Carlos, and we were really pleased! He is very knowledgable, and the tour is nicely paced. This is a tour which you should take when you first arrive in Santa Fe, as you visit and taste at least 3 fine restaurants, and a couple of specialty shops. You get to mingle with other folks on the tour, from all over the country, and that adds to the fun. Thanks Carlos for making our wedding anniversary so special!
We did the Sample Santa Fe lunch time tour with Carlos as our guide and had a blast! Carlos is a fountain of information and shares it with such kindness and passion. We were sad when it ended. This was our first day here and was a great way to learn about this town. We highly recommend this tour!
