“Perfect, as always!”

We travel to Santa Fe quite frequently, and we have decided to always stay at Hacienda Nicholas! The rooms are very comfortable and well-decorated, and the hospitality is amazing! The last two times we've been there, Anna has been our innkeeper. Like all the staff at Hacienda Nicholas, she is helpful with anything we need and any questions we have (about restaurants, things to do, etc.), and she is fun to talk with!
The building is completely charming, with a real Santa Fe feel -- old adobe with vigas (exposed wood beams), a wonderful fireplace, and a beautiful courtyard.

Though we were only there for three nights, we were immediately among friends. Not only were the other guests interesting and friendly, but also a great source of conversation and information. The staff was exceptionally skilled and friendly as well. The breakfasts and "Happy Hour" treats were delicious. Anna and Greg were extremely helpful with planning our outings both in town and the area National Parks. Not only were they knowledgeable but passionate in their desire to help. While the facilities were, indeed, beautiful and comfortable, it was the people that made us really feel welcome. Would you recommend this hotel to a friend? Absolutely!

My husband and I along with our friends truly enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda Nicholas. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful about places to see and places to eat at while staying in Santa Fe. The rooms were comfortable and the setting was very cozy! The breakfast every morning was delicious.

We can only echo the superlatives well earned and well deserved by the Hacienda Nichols, owner Carolyn Lee, and her staff-Anna, Andy, & Cowboy Greg! Of course, the room(we were in the Nicholas) and the food were truly first class and great value for the price. What exceeded expectations were the friendliness and service of Carolyn and her staff; from Anna showing me the route for my morning run, to Andy lighting the kiva, to Greg exhorting the sights and scenes of Santa Fe(he should work for the SF Chamber of Commerce), to Carolyn's husband parking our van in a really tight spot, to Diane in the office printing our boarding passes!
Having stayed in many B&B's, this stay was our best. And, our strongest endorsement: we will return.

October 3 - 10, 2009, was our first trip to Santa Fe, NM. The majestic landscape of Santa Fe,Taos & O’Keefe country with views of the incredible southwest mountains, colorful Aspen trees, & snow capped vistas were breathtaking. The rich, historic, cultural, and artistic influence of the Spanish & the Native Americans, coupled with the talented community of local artisans will keep you very busy. The most important part of any trip is where you start and end each day, the place you call home away from home. For us that was the Hacienda Nicholas B&B. This authentic hacienda is in the middle of Santa Fe, within walking distance of the historic Santa Fe Plaza, nestled in a tranquil neighborhood. The Hacienda Nicholas is an exquisite gem and the endeavor of Innkeeper Carolyn Lee. Carolyn’s staff were just awesome, because they would satisfy whatever request you had, and informative because of their knowledge of the area. They helped us see some things that we were not aware of and we were glad we listened to what they had to say. Each of the 7 hacienda rooms had a name. Our accommodation was Chamisa. It had a full bath, small sitting area, a king size bed that was so comfortable and inviting, especially at the end of our many adventurous days. Also in the room was a kiva fireplace which we had burning each night, so romantic. The Hacienda Nicholas has a beautiful common courtyard with a larger kiva fireplace lit each night. At the end of a long day you could enjoy a nice bottle of wine in front of the outside kiva and look up into the star filled evening sky. Each day started with a breakfast that would put most 4-5 star restaurants to shame. Breakfast choices were many: plain or maple yogurt accompanied by varying granola choices that also included the special HN B&B granola (which was great); homemade breakfast enchiladas or a special fritatta with varying ingredients; a special southwest fritatta with eggs, green or red chilies; Anna’s Blue Corn Waffles (WOW!!!); a Blueberry & Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast breakfast that was to die for; a raspberry/sweet cream cheese breakfast calzone; toast made from freshly baked bread from the local bakery; crisp bacon; fresh juices; fresh fruit; coffee & tea. This is all enjoyed along with other guests in a large common room with a beautiful fireplace done in southwestern decor. Not to be forgotten in the afternoon are the assortment of baked goodies. A nice glass of vino welcomes us back from our daily trips and to launch you into your nightly Santa Fe dining adventures, if you have the energy. If we had to rate our stay at the Hacienda Nicholas it would a “10” on a 10 point scale. Our next trip to Santa Fe will bring us back to the Hacienda Nicholas. Many thanks to Innkeeper Carolyn Lee, Anna, Greg, Lois, Maria, and the office staff.

We have bveen staying here for many years now and we love it. The rooms are very nice, the food is very good and we always meet the most interesing people each time we go. There is something about the Inn that seems to attract a diverse lot of people from all over. That is always one of the highlights of staying there. .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda Nicholas. The location was perfect as it is within a few blocks of the plaza. The hospitality was exceptional. The staff was always so helpful with directions or things to see and do. The food was also fantastic. The breakfast and afternoon wine and snacks were tasty and first rate. We stayed in the Nicholas room which was very roomy and cozy. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely return to this wonderful place.
