We had a wonderful 2 day stay here. The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable, modern and well designed. The location is in the expanding south end of town, so it's not near the plaza, if that matters to you. It's also away from the bottle-neck of traffic in the plaza area and you can hop on the by-pass road and get to your out of town destinations much quicker. There is an indoor pool and spa. The continental breakfast is typical, but a nice plus and they give you real plates and silverware - nice touch! The staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

While in Santa Fe, take the drive up to Ghost Ranch in Abiqui and out to the Bandelier and Valles Caldera and Los Alomos area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side. There is retail on the front and there are lights at night.

The family was ready for a much needed weekend getaway. Being in Albuquerque we thought Santa Fe would be far enough to feel "away," but close enough we could just do one night. We chose Hyatt Place for two reasons: They had a pool and hot tub for the kids to spend some down time and a free shuttle to the Plaza so we wouldn't have to worry about getting in and out, parking, etc. We were only mildly concerned when we checked in that the pool was closed for maintenance as the desk staff said the pool guy was adjusting chemicals and would be back soon and likely open the pool. When we asked about the shuttle, we were told someone had called off, due to the shortness of staff, no shuttle would be running.

We decided just to drive into the Plaza and had a great walk around and a nice meal. When we returned, the kids were ready for some water fun. But, a new handwritten sign stated, no pool/hot tub until Monday (the day after we checked out). All of the kids were heartbroken and my youngest was holding back tears.

We had chosen the Hyatt Place for two of their amenities Pool and shuttle. Exactly none of these services were available during our stay.

make no mistake, very nice, clean property with good personal service. But overall, kind of a Hyatt fail.

Room Tip: May want to call ahead to make sure amenities advertised are actually available.

We took a mini weekend trip up to Santa Fe and chose the Hyatt Place. The location is very convenient, but a little tricky to figure out where you enter the parking lot.
The room was a mini suite, which we were not expecting. We had a decent-sized living area with a sectional, desk, and mini fridge. The bedroom was separated by a little half wall. Bathroom was cozy, but had a large vanity outside of the bathroom itself. The shower was very large and was very nice.
Service was super friendly and there were a few extras We weren't expecting. They run a shuttle down to the plaza every two hours with return service. There's also 24 hour made-to-order food (which may be available at other Hyatt Places, but I've never seen before) and a nice complimentary continental breakfast with the option to purchase hot food. They also have a nice selection of teas to go with the coffee.
Finally, there was free Internet which, unfortunately, is a rare commodity.
Great stay and I highly recommend it!!

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at the Hyatt Place Santa Fe. We are pleased that you found our amenities and offerings to be pleasant. Although we are a little bit set off the main road, we are very convienent to shopping, dining, ect,. The shuttle is a definate bonus when you dont want to drive to the Plaza, and when you have had a day of sight seeing, a nice glass of wine or beverage in our gallery area sets the stage for a wonderful evening. Thank hyou again and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

We stayed here in May 2011 on our trip around the West to visit a friend. I wasn't expecting much, when we saw the area but we were only there for 2 nights and the purpose was to see a sick friend, so I didn't care. But I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk was super nice, the decor was really nice and contemporary and our room was very nice. Great view of the mountains and the bed was comfortable. I liked the layout, which I'm sure is like every other Hyatt Place, but this was the first time I'd stayed in one. I'm a fan and will stay at Hyatt Places whenver possible.

Large spacious suites that are whistle clean, even in the bathroom corners. Pleasant, well trained staff. Large screen TV, free wireless connection, included average cold breakfast (hot items available at additional cost), food available 24/7, small pleasant bar, large and attractive public areas, swimming pool, fitness room. An outstanding and reasonable rate. Only negative was the noisy air conditioner right next to the bed. I go out of my way to find a Hyatt Place now.

The hotel was close to I-25, the airport, malls, and the commercial business district. The staff was great, the rooms big. As others noted, the breakfast could be better, the A/C not as noisy, and they could start selling Coke products.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adquate and had a minimum of items to select from. It can be very crowded at certain times in the AM. The hotel provided shuttle service to the Plaza so you did not have to worry about parking. The pool and fitness room were also very nice. The was our first trip to Santa Fe and would stay there again if we go back.
