“Very nice crepes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2012

The breakfast food was quite good. If you are used to French crepes, then the crepes here will seem a bit thick to you, but they are tasty anyway!

The service, however, was VERY slow. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed people watching so we didn't mind so much, but this may be a factor for you if you're in a hurry.

“Needs adult supervision and much TLC”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2012

Saturday noon, Santa Fe is overflowing with tourists, but Le Chantilly is empty. Never the less, my wife and I sat down after waiting for the wait-staff to quit chit-chatting. The lunch selection was so minimal that we decided just to have pastries and coffee and move on. I ordered a blueberry-cheese croissant, and my wife - a spinach one. Both were microwaved prior to serving, so they were soggy and unappetizing; definitely not the way to serve a croissant. The two waitresses were engaged in talking to some young men who obviously were not customers, and their attention was not devoted to the job. The owner needs to be present, make sure the pastries are fresh, have an attentive staff, and advertise the place to get a flow of people into the cafe. Otherwise, it might as well close now.

“Nice place to enjoy you morning coffee and breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2012

It is located on Garrett's Desert Inn property. Their pastries are excellent and the patio dining area is on the Old Santa Fe Trail and well shaded with trees and umbrellas. They are open for breakfast and lunch only; 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating; however, weather permitting I strongly suggest the outdoor seating. The breakfast and lunch menus are basic, but offer a good selection. The best is if you do not stay at Garrett's Desert Inn the $8.00 parking fee is waived.
