“Hate fast food? Like Mexican? No time to spare? Eat here!”

This place is basic. A popular local joint, no liquor license, so no margaritas or beers for you. The food is home cooked, comes FAST, is fresh and authentically Mexican. Fine dining it is not, but solid fare it is. And where else can you eat dinner in 25 minutes?

“An Always Busy Parking Lot Drew Us Here!”
Reviewed 12 December 2013

This little cafe is a sleeper and a fantastic value. The food is excellent, the servings large, the service was friendly and the menu varied. In fact, this restaurant had better food than many many of the more famous Santa Fe Dining establishments which we have tried. Located in a small, almost hidden strip mall, it is not fancy but it is clean and always busy. The mostly Spanish speaking clients and staff is a good sign that the food is authentic. Did I mention that it is a fabulous value in a town with very high prices. By the way, the carne adovada and chili Rellenos were miles better than at the acclaimed carne adovado mecca at Rancho de Chimayo!

“Fast, Yummy, Inexpensive!”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

Went to a gallery in Abiqui and the lady recommended this restaurant...went directly there when I got back to town. Easy to find but certainly not on the main track, definitely worth turning off Cerillos to get to! My waiter was friendly, service very good and the food was delicious. I had the cheese enchiladas with green sauce which is wonderful. The sopapilla I had was huge, hot and also delicious. A great meal in a clean, friendly place at a very low cost! Will be visiting them again next trip.

“Amazing”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

Stopped by Monday for a late lunch, and I was blown away by the food. We had chili rellenos with red sauce and blue corn enchiladas with cheese. I'm a relleno lover, and these were exceptional. They differed from those I've eaten in California, Arizona, and Texas. First, the peppers themselves were a treat: slightly charred, fruity, not soggy, with a hint of heat. The cheese stuffing was great -- not gummy and tasteless. The sides were perfect: a dollop of refried beans, posole, guacamole, sour cream. And the sopapillas! Huge, pillowy things to sop up sauce or to serve as the base for drizzled honey provided in a squeeze bottle. The prices can't be beat. Don't be put off by the unassuming location (far from the plaza), the fluorescent lights and basic tables, or the outside of the building: this place is a winner.
