“Beautiful historic home in ideal Santa Fe Plaza location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

Staying at The Madeleine was certainly a highlight of our Southwest vacation. The historic Victorian home was restored beautifully with tasteful modern bathrooms and plush comfortable beds and linens- without taking away from it's old world charm. The gardens were colorful and well kept and the spa was divine! And breakfasts were over- the- top gourmet and delicious. The gracious owner was there at breakfast every day to greet and chat with her guests. The location was perfect as it is a very short and easy walk to galleries and the Plaza, and yet just off the beaten path to allow for a quiet and tranquil stay. We are looking forward to returning again during the winter.

My boyfriend and I recently traveled from Denver to Santa Fe and stayed in the Ivy room at the Madeleine Inn. We loved the charming third level room. It was spacious, and we were impressed by the small touches (e.g., comfortable robes, fresh flowers, specific wash cloths designated for make up removal, natural body lotion/shampoo/conditioner, antique furniture, etc.) within the room. We were further impressed by the hospitality of the staff and the "perks" of the stay which included 24 hour availability of coffee, tea, water, and snacks (cookies, pretzels, peanuts and M&M's) and a nightly happy hour (complimentary glass of wine and snacks). We met Carolyn, the owner, and she was a kind soul who cares deeply about the happiness of her guests. The location of the B&B was fabulous. We liked that it was located on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the plaza area yet it was only a 5 minute walk to the plaza! As we walked by other hotels/B&B's that we had researched prior to coming to Santa Fe, we felt confident that we had made the right decision in regard to location, privacy and charm. We will stay at the Madeleine Inn on our next visit and look forward to our next trip!

New Mexico has been on my wish list. Everyone at the Madeline was gracious and generous of spirit. Carolyn and Staff especially Regan who guided my initial contacts for accommodation were responsive and fun. The Inn is charming, very clean and served a delicious breakfast and hospitable social hour every day. The proximity of the inn to the historic square (easy walking distance) as well as ease to access the highways to the Santa Fe Opera ,galleries, beautiful scenery and evening entertainment was great. Carolyn has cross-trained her staff (most have "worked for Carolyn" for many years) and reflect the sentiment of caring for the guest. My friend and I stayed for almost two weeks and I would not hesitate to recommend or enjoy another opportunity in the future. Thank you all.

Room Tip: Simply rely on Regan to accommodate your preferences. We enjoyed a cottage room with the patio under...

The people, food and accommodations could not have been nicer. The morning breakfast was in many ways, better than a breakfast at a trendy cafe in the square. It is clear that all the people who work with Carolyn the owner truly love their jobs, and is obvious in how they treat their quests. Always fruit and home made treats in the main inn. A perfect Bed and Breakfast, would return in a heart beat.

Room Tip: The rooms all have beautiful flower names, and the staff will help you choose, all were quiet, clea...

Stayed in the Morning Glory room for three nights in July 2013, the weekend of the Folk Art Festival. Was reminded of my beautiful experience there when I recently visited Santa Fe and was walking through the area.

What a lovely place. Staff was friendly and welcomed questions and conversation. The inn itself was simply lovely. Beautiful breakfast at Hacienda Nicholas, just a few seconds away. Perfectly appointed bedroom and bath. Quiet, yet just a short walk from the bustling plaza area. A gem. Worth every penny.

A lovely Victorian home near the Sante Fe city center. It is located within easy walking distance of most of the attractions. The rooms were lovely and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our three week long tour of the southwestern US. We definitely recommend this place.

I love this place! It's a gorgeous Victorian home, just a couple blocks from the Plaza, on a nice quiet street. The staff was delightful, we especially appreciated Carolyn's suggestions with activities and restaurants. The fresh baked cookies, wine and cheese hour, and breakfast were all delicious! I highly recommend this B&B, for its location, romantic feel, and lovely hosts.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Geranium room, which is small but lovely. I actually really liked having the priva...
