“Awesome Stay”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 via mobile

This was our best stay on our 5 day vacation. Loved the room and beds were excellent! Indoor pool was wonderful however spa pressure was not strong enough. The front desk staff was very friendly and recommended an excellent place for dinner. We would definitely stay here again!

We noticed that the nicer boutique hotels closer to downtown and the Plaza were quite expensive, so we opted for the Best Western that was clustered near many other chain hotels on Cerrillos Road. We were traveling with our 2 dogs, and appreciated the fact that 'pets stay free'! Unfortunately, there were no real designated pet areas (with pet waste dispensers), mostly a large asphalt parking lot and a couple of bark-filled planters (no grass). We actually preferred the Courtyard Marriott, which provided alot more pet-friendly grassy areas for dogs. We spent most of our time near the Plaza, which was about 20 minutes away, or near the Dale Ball Hiking trails (about 35 minutes away), so it seemed like we did a lot of driving to/from the hotel. We were not impressed with the hotel location off Cerrillos Road, which reminded us of any large busy highway in mainstream America lined with big box stores and chain restaurants. There was also a sketchy pawn shop and taco stand right next door to the hotel. On the plus side, the room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was satisfying. If you want to experience the true Santa Fe culture, pay a bit more and stay somewhere closer to the Plaza area.

I forgot my pillow. I called the hotel and the person in charge of cleaning the room had already turned it in to her supervisor. The manager at the time made sure I got it back at no cost to me or without having to drive back to get it. I am extremely thankful for that deed.

My husband and I were extremely pleased when we opened the door to our room. It was huge! We not only had a king bed but a desk, 2 leather arm chairs and coffee table. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the shower was hot!

The Best Western PLUS Inn in Santa Fe is an excellent hotel and it's adobe construction goes well with Santa Fe's traditions. We drove nearly 800 miles and arrived very late but the hotel staff had made sure our handicap room was ready for us and met all of our special requests.

This place must be great because it was busy! We got a Family Suite and it was very nice and clean. We also enjoyed the free breakfast, it was so convenient not having to leave the hotel just to get in line at the next fast food location. Thumbs up for this hotel!

My friend and I were traveling across the country and were looking for a nice place to stay near Santa Fe for a couple days that was a combination of comfortable accommodations, nearby proximity to downtown, with reasonable fair rates. The Best Western did this well. We rented one of the one bedroom suites with the living room/sofa beds for an extra $10 which made relaxing in the evening a little more enjoyable... Some things could have been attended to in our room... A missing wood slat in the bedroom blinds and we had to use a standing suitcase to reinforce a gimpy sofa bed leg when folded out. But these minor annoyances we outshines by the staff who were there for all our needs. We would like to mention in particular Aaron, who observed us upon our departure dealing with a relatively new rental car's dead battery - we had the hood up and calling AAA - and drove his car over with cables to give us a quick start. Thank you Aaron and thank you, Best Western. People are the most important part of an innkeeper's efforts and yours came through with flying colors!
