“Good location, good value”
Reviewed 30 October 2011

I stayed here with my mother and we both thought this inn offered a great value. Yes the rooms were small and with two ladies, it seemed like counter space near the bathroom was nonexistent, but the staff was helpful, the location was great, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was pretty good. The shuttle only ran until 6:00 when we were there so we had to take a cab back from dinner. But, it is close enough to the plaza to walk if you haven't been on your feet all day. The Whole Foods next door is a plus too, I would definately stay here again!

Great hotel perfectly located within walking distance of Railyard and Plaza. Clean and comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Good breakfast in the morning but can get a little crowded if hotel is full. Walking tour of downtown with Jerry is a great way to start your stay. Very informative and gives you a good feel of the history and people of this lovely town. His tour was one of the best values in town and I'm sure glad the Hotel offers it.The whole stay was a win in both the quality and value columns. We will be back.

Room Tip: You have to take the walking tour.

Got a great "stay two nights get one free" special here, making it an excellent value, considering it is adjacent to the Railyard and Farmers Market area. The double-queen room was small, and if there had been more than two of us it would have been difficult. However, it was fine for us, with free Internet and perfectly adequate continental breakfast. In the breakfast room, there is a shelf of books and magazines to borrow-- nice touch.

Staff was very responsive; We had a problem with our coffeepot and someone came right away with a replacement.

This place doesn't quite have the charm of some more pricey properties, but it is a wonderful option if you are trying to save some money without staying in a "same-old-same-old" chain.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are apparently quieter. First floors are convienent, but choosing the second floo...

Thank you for staying at the Santa Fe Sage Inn. We are happy that you enjoyed our location, ‘Healthy Start’ continental breakfast, Wi-Fi, and additional guest amenities. Our double queen room can comfortably accommodate up to four people. We also think that we are a great choice for affordable lodging in downtown Santa Fe…Come visit us again soon.

Located 1 km from Santa Fe's centre, the Sage Inn is an excellent hotel.
The room was big, with many amenities.
The breakfast was OK (American standard is quite poor in comparison to the European standard).

The hotel has a self laundry service; a gym; computers & printers for customers use; and a free shuttle to the centre.

The hotel works together with Jerry Rightman, a tour guide, who offers walking tours of Santa Fe's centre, starting at the State Capitol building and ending at the Museum of Art - a two hour tour for $12 - it's a gem and I highly recommend taking his tours.

Great location!!!!!! Walking distance to the Old Town. The hotel offers shuttle service as well! Location close to the front of the Railyard Park!

Good value for money! Continental breakfast, laundry facilities, swimming pool. The staff was very pleasant and willing to help!
Ask for a renovated room at the back of the property for more privacy.

Thanks to the great staff: Jennifer, Grant; the young man from Tibet and the rest... everyone was always extremely pleasant and helpful!

Our compliments to the management, as everything at this hotel was extremely well thought!!!!!!!!!Higly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask for renovated rooms in the back of the property!

The room was decorated cute, and the beds were nice and comfy after a long days drive. The hotel is in a good location for all of Santa Fe. Especially the plaza. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with any questions. I would recommend anyone stay here.

The Santa Fe Sage Inn is a motel-style hotel in the railyard distict of Santa Fe. The rooms are not spacious but are attractively decorated in southwest style. The complimentary breakfast is not fancy but adequate. It is a short walk to the galleries and restaurants in the railyard district and a 15 minute walk to the plaza. A shuttle is also available to the plaza and Canyon Road gallery district. We stayed during opera season and found great rates, but check early and often as rates did vary quite a bit. Santa Fe Opera is a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

Room Tip: King rooms are more spacious than single queen rooms. If you cannot manipulate stairs, be sure to a...
