This was our third stay at this location. I pick Fairfield Inns because they're all clean, well run and have a very friendly staff. The staff at the Santa Fe location is outstanding, helpful in every way. The rooms are pretty basic, well maintained, the beds are comfortable, everything works just as it should. The free WIFI and breakfast add to what is already an outstanding value. My stays at comparably priced inns including Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn and others are never as pleasant as at Fairfield Inn.

Other than our room being on street side, we were pleased. An older hotel so I guess they try harder and the staff is outstanding. No elevator, but our 1st floor room was fine. Would stay here again.

There are only three things wrong with this hotel: the location, the rooms, and the parking lot. There's only one entrance off of busy Cerilloa northbound. This makes returning to the interstate require a u turn. If there were some sort of opening into the mall parking lot that would go a long way to help things.
I am truly sorry to hear you encountered some inconvenience with our location and entrance. It is our # 1 goal to provide our guests with complete satisifaction.The entrance and location however, is unfortunately out of our control. The hotel is located near the mall and some restaurants but far away from the old part of town (you need to drive to get there from the hotel). The best thing about this hotel are the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast that they provide is pretty good. The rooms are clean and in good condition.
Here is what happened for our particular room: The AC is right below the window, the curtains are cut in such a way that the air blows right up into the curtains creating a bubble which then leads to no cool air circulation in the room and the AC constantly shuts off without cooling down the room. To add to the stuffiness, we were on the first floor (room 107) and there is a flood light that is pointed almost directly at the window so the entire night you get really bright light shining through the gaps in the curtains - this doesn't make a good environment for a good night's rest.
The next morning I called the front desk to see if I could speak to the manager, since the manager was out I told the front desk staff about the problems. They were friendly and apologetic and said they would speak to the manager, but I never heard anything back. When you check out you are asked to review the hotel on TripAdvisor and although I am doing it, this doesn't seem to be the best forum to handle my complaint.
I am truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. As I mentioned on our phone call, I do aplogize I was not available that specific day. This hotel is a bit old but, the service provided here is exceptional. The GM, Rebecca, is on top of her job!!!!!!!!No elevator to second floor.
