The desk clerk told us he was giving us a nice quiet room. It was anything but, we listened to the room upstairs make noise from 7-9 PM and then it woke us at 3:30 AM. It sounded like someone was dragging around furniture or exercising. Very annoying. The breakfast was average compared to other Hampton Inn locations.

Nice big clean room. Nice King bed. Friendly front desk. Decent hot breakfast. No fridge in our room. Wife coyld hear the next door neighbors all night. Pool and jacuzzuess i really small. Location I guess was fine for a trip to Zuma beach (20 min. drive). Price right at 99.00.

Had a problem with the keys coding properly which wouldn't let us into the room. The manager personally let us into our room with his master key to let us get settled while he got the issue sorted out. Couldn't ask for more than that.

Room was nice and area was not shady - no worries about leaving the motorcycles. In fact they let us keep them parked in front of the lobby under the roof.

Free hot breakfast with eggs and bacon too. Room with 2 queen beds was $107.91 including tax.

Very good stay.

It was only $10 more per night to upgrade from King to King Jr. Suite and it was well worth it since it gave our 20 mo old baby some space to play. There was a wet bar with a fridge and micro at the entrance. The bed was very comfortable, the shower head has massage options, the couch is a fold out (we didn't use it), and the windows open for outside ventilation (but are secure if you want them closed and locked). Breakfast was a LOT of bread and grains (donuts, bagels, waffles, biscuits, toasts, hot and cold cereals, etc) and there were hardboiled eggs and a meat option each day as well as a variety of juices, coffee, etc and fresh fruit, both whole fruit (apples, oranges, bananas) and cut up melon. The coffee sucked but hotel coffee does. We both woke up feeling tired and dehydrated from the hotel air quality, but that's a general hotel problem.

We decided to stay here because we were actually in Santa Barbara and the hotels were ridiculously expensive. An hour south and we were at Hampton Inn in Thousand Oaks. We were going that way anyway.

Pros:
Easy access from freeway
Large, clean room.
Flat panel TV with remote that works for hooking up computers.
Nice firm beds.
Evening desk person that was almost professional. Morning Desk person exemplary.

Cons:
Pespi only vending machines. ;~)
Tucked back behind a bank. (a little hard to locate)
Headboards creaked every time you moved in the bed (or when they changed the sheets at 8:00 am for a half hour in the room upstairs)

Hampton inn is still very consistent across the board. Large, clean rooms, good staff, nice breakfast, TVs that work and elevators. This hotel loses one point on the creaky headboards. The room above was very loud, and disturbed my morning sleep. The headboard in our room creaked as well, but not nearly so loud, so it would be luck of the draw what you get. I heard no other noise all night.

Such a great place to stay. I grew up in this area. this is a new facility and the staff was so nice. there are a couple places near to hand out but if your looking for a place to stay with not to many frills this is a great place. there is a lot to do within 20 miles from here. hiking swimming, and a lot of good restaurants are kind of near by. all in all this was one of the nicer places I've stayed and the staff was extremely well trained and hospitable.

My wife and two sons needed a place to stay while our house was being remodeled. We tried another motel but were unsatisfied. The Hampton Inn turned out to be a great choice. They have lovely rooms with wi-fi, a great breakfast, and even a pool and fitness center. There's plenty of parrking, and it's close to the freeway and within walking distance of a Walgreens for snacks or other food and health items. We were so impressed we joined Hilton Honors and plan to try other locations.
