My family visited the Car Museum after being blown away by Luray Caverns. I initially didn't expect to see much at the museum; we only visited to kill time and take advantage of the free admission (if you purchased tickets to see Luray Caverns). The entrance to the museum is quite awkward because as soon as you walk in, you see a candy and gift store. We had to ask an employee where the entrance to the museum was and found it was on the side.
I was very impressed with the display of old vintage cars, all in perfect condition. It was very interesting to see the ancestors of luxury brands like Mercedes and BMW, which all looked like stage coaches. As you progress farther into the museum, you see how the stage coaches begin to take on the form of a car with doors. Makes you realize how far transportation technology has gotten since the very first Ford.
This is definitely worth checking out, especially if you can appreciate vintage or history (or both!)
